Michael Jordan reveals his most memorable dunk

As an Aussie I had this one my wall

I don't and didn't even particularly like basketball (ask me and I'd say I'm a Lakers guy)

I also had a Jerry Rice touchdown poster.
Him with 2 arms raised after a touchdown and the Nike slogan 'Just do it' underneath it

Beautiful

Nope.

Best dunk ever is this one:

This dunk was so good, it was listed under the definition of "basketball" in the Encarta encyclopedia from 1996 - 2000 (later surpassed by Vince Carter's life-ending dunk on Frederic Weis).

The only person who disagrees is well...Jordan.

I gotta say though - the modern era dunks from Deandre Jordan and Lebron James on Brandon Knight and Jason Terry are just as ridiculous too.

Saw that dunk live on TV. It was ferocious. Too bad Starks was so streaky.

I remember that series - the Knicks were up 2-0 before imploding and losing 4 straight. But at least you got that one dunk to remember!

This is beautiful.

It is. I was a huge NBA fan in the 90's and loved both the Bulls and the Knicks. I loved when they met in the playoffs, and didn't know who to cheer for. I just wish the Knicks would have won the championship once. They just couldn't finish when they made the finals.

For the record, I hated the Pacers and Reggie Miller!

That Nosferatu looking motherfucker.

For almost twenty years (80s and 90s) NBA was the best league on Earth. Great rivalries, even greater players, everything was on such a high level.

You can't like both the 90's Bulls and the Knicks at the same time, you just can't. You had to be on one side or the other. I loved when Reggie scored like 8 points on the Knicks in 10 seconds or whatever it was. That was brilliant.

I count three.

The very first step he was likely still in the process of recovering his dribble, the way the gif was cut you don't really see it. I'm guessing if you back up a few seconds you'd likely see the ball coming back up as he took that first step of three you're thinking of.

He made it rain on them fools.

This was a much better dunk than the one Jordan is constantly reliving.

The quality of the opposition likely is the difference. Breaking the glass over some random scrubs in Italy where the court obviously had inferior equipment likely doesn't stick in his mind. ;)

There's a handful of teams today that would fit right in with late 80s/early 90s style of play, like the current Warriors.

Back in the day (oldmanyellingatcloud.bmp) they were 2 or 3 "super stars" in every team. I think the spectacle as a whole was better.
