Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
2019 huh?

What was it that happened in 2019 specifically related to Microsoft/Xbox and Activision again?

Oh yeh, that's right:

I've said it before, I'll say it again. None of this is a coincidence.

Agreed. Just like Nokia.

Sometimes some of y'all really come off like the charlie day conspiracy board meme IRL.

What does that change if the email was about acquisition?
We don't know what the email was about though. We do know that the gamers lawsuit characterized it as uncontrobertable proof that this deal was part of a strategy to push Sony out of the business even though this deal didn't exist at the time the email was written.

- You sir have an email in your name planing to kill this person, your biggest competitor
- close after that you bought the bigger and most expensive gun ever created, what you have to say about that ?
"Well the email is from 3 years ago ... "
- ah, well nevermind, NEXT!
There's a statute of limitations on death threats, didn't you know that?

NEXT!

It's also because they have the infrastructure and don't need to rent.
The real challenge is if they were to do this anyone could argue that Microsoft is raising the price of cloud gaming. Their best solution until all acquisitions are over is to create a cheaper cloud only tier to show the lack of cloud only customers.

It's not wrong tho. Sony is helping the plaintiff's with documentation for the lawsuit.

No it's stupid. Sony responded to a subpoena. It's stupid to keep trying to link it to somebody who agreed to a subpoena for information. Look at the way they both keep trying to refer to it as "so-called gamers lawsuit". It's obvious they're trying to paint the image that Sony is in the background as some type of puppetmaster because that's better for MS' PR.

They are going to bring the jingoism to the court aren’t they? Let’s show the American judge why he should be looking at markets outside of the U.S to understand America ain’t winning this war SOLDIER HURRAH

At the very least, expect a number of US Congressmen to suddenly be very passionate about the industry and VERY concerned about Microsoft's place in it. Despite largely ignoring them for over 20 years now. Conveniently being okay with an American duopoly in the mobile OS and computer OS spaces. Also being perfectly fine with a crushing global control over cloud marketshare. Where American companies control over 75% of it. Probably around 80%. A majority of that controlled by 3 companies. You can probably guess who.

Effectively painting gamers as the enemy too. Remember what Phil said about gamers and how it's our fault for dev drama problems in the industry?

Gaslighting and narrative seed planting everywhere.

EDITED: Eh. Gonna delete this. It was a bit inflammatory and unfair.

Fanboys acting like journalists

I think the term is shill.

Lol wut?

You mean two games already running on ps5 hardware that just got oopsied due to an acquisition? That’s…asinine

Ryan, Destin, Jez, Tom. They all bleed together. Say what you want about Jez, though. At least he clearly works for a pro-Microsoft website. The others are employed by publications you would expect to require neutral reporting. At least a requirement to hide obvious bias. Ryan, Destin, and Tom wear that shit like badges of honor. Truthfully, I would have fired them for putting my company's integrity into question. And, no. Destin and Ryan aren't the "Xbox guys" where they work. They have positions that put them in charge of all kinds of content that run through IGN.
