Halo 5 over a year(possibly more) away from release? Didn't h4 only get gameplay the e3 the same year of it's release? Man I would love to see it but I seriously doubt it.

The beta for Halo 5 starts December 27th and runs until January 22nd. I think we'll get something.

Hyped to see QB.

I want a new Banjo from Rare, but I think we'll get more Kinect Sports Rivals stuff first. I have a feeling they are going to go the Killer Instinct route with a free rotating event, individual events for purchase, and a couple of new events on the way (table tennis pls). I'd be down for stand-alone wave racing and bowling.

Scalebound is being developed by Platinum Games, so it isn't first party. If it's being funded by Microsoft, I guess you could call it second party? But since it's developed by a third party, I'd personally consider it eligible as the game that GameSpot was referring to.

I'm pretty sure Phil Spencer himself said they consider that first party. They're funding it, probably going to own the IP

I'm not expecting any big announcements at Gamescom because they showed 3 E3 CG trailers of games that are most likely 2016 releases. Why would they show a retail title at Gamescom that may release next year after they did that?

I think we'll see a preview of the Halo 5 beta, an update on D4 (Really interested in this since it reminds me of Steins;Gate), gameplay footage of Quantum Break (confirmed), and maybe a new Scalebound trailer with some gameplay since it was apparently playable before E3.

"We" meaning myself, and you.

I don't think it's a bold statement to make at all, sure we might not get them at Gamescom, but I'm pretty sure that Microsoft won't go a whole year without announcing a big game.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make by defining 'we'. I understand you were saying games that haven't been revealed. You're saying there are a "ton of games" that haven't been revealed. So I asked if you have insight into which studios might be making these games. But I guess you don't. Maybe someone else does. My point is that you obviously need studios to make these first party games, and I personally think you're off base to expect "a ton" of unannounced exclusive games to be announced over the next year.

Cant wait to see Quantum Break demo! one of my most anticipated game of 2015, i'd also like to see some gameplay of the new Tomb Raider, but i don't think that'll happen

Did I ever say I expect them to be announced over the next year? No. I simply said I'm sure there's a lot of unannounced exclusive games, and a few of them will most likely be announced between now and E3 2015. To think that Microsoft would announce absolutely no games between now and E3 2015 is just silly.

Of course they will, there's a ton of games we don't know about. How many we see at Gamescom I'm not sure, but I'm hoping for a few.
I'm not saying they aren't working on games that have yet to be seen I know for a fact they are. I don't think they will be announcing any new games till around e3 2015. They have plenty of announced games that we will see more of no doubt see more of but I don't expect announcements of new first party games.

I just can't see them letting Gamescom and TGS pass them by while Sony announce a few new games at each event.

I bet the only 2016 titles announced so far are crackdown and Gears of War. Halo 5, Fable, Phantom Dust remake, Quantum Break are likely to be 2015 IMO.

Maybe some Japanese games but I expect TGS to have scalebound and hopefully phantom dust footage. I mean they could have more announcements but they have already announced quite a few games that they can trickle footage and info over the next year. I certainly wouldn't expect a big announcement.

Scalebound is probably a 2016 title. I would think that Microsoft has dipped into its early-CY2016 line-up (i.e., before E3 2016). Crackdown is probably an early 2016 game following on its March release when the first one came out.

I'm thinking that Microsoft actually does a 2016 Anniversary treatment for Gears of War and releases Gears 4 in 2017.

Phil Spencer referred to it as "first party" though.

OK. Well he has a strange definition of first party, then. Not one I've seen before.

Not really strange at all. If you own the IP then the game is "first party", no matter who the dev is.

Any chance we might see Lionhead's rumored new IP? And what about the Leap Experience Pioneers studio? I'm expecting mostly stuff we already know about but hopefully there will be a surprise or two.

Lionhead's new IP is presumably too far away (also they confirmed they were making one so at least its not rumoured) as they're still working on Legends and LXP well, I dunno personally I doubt it

How could Rare show anything? They're still figuring out what the next game will be. Spencer has said not even he knows yet. Whatever they're working on is at prototype stages at best.

Aww, the briefing starts at 6 in the morning my time. That's a whole hour before I usually get up!...Do...do I get up an hour early just to watch this?

I doubt it. If they are far along enough to show anything they would probably still wait until after Fable Legends is out.

Same. I'm going to spend an hour at work reading new stuff.

I agree except I don't think gears will get the anniversary treatment.

Gears doesn't need anniversary treatment because it still looks great. I think they will definitely do a collection of the games in a bunds, perhaps not the same way they did the Halo ones, but it would be crazy not to

Well, I dont think they will talk about it at gamescom, but is MS actually planning to release a new Gears of War for Xone? I would love that!

Black Tusk are already working on it since February when MS bought the I.P

at best a CGI trailer... it is close to impossible to see a in game trailer

Find it weird that they only just now announce they're doing a conference...it's like in 10 days already, keeping the hype in check here.

Well, thats good "news" for me! I thought they havent confirmed yet! I hope they can bring to gamescom a CGI or teaser though, but its indeed very unlikely!

Well Shinobi knew about it before it was even announced, so it doesn't seem like a last minute scramble, they've clearly were planning on things, but I appreciate not announcing things/events too early

I'd like some surprises. I doubt any megatons happen. We will see...

I'm just happy that it's going to be live streamed. Hope they have something for TGS and do the same.

I think we'll see more sunset overdrive (get the hype rolling)

cant wait to QB hopefully a RARE tease and some halo goodness. Anything else for me is gravy

Yeah given that piece of information I think we will for sure see some halo 5 multiplayer news... Hopefully gameplay...

I think for MS E3 was all about unveiling The MCC and showing the world that package but with that out of the way I think we'll see some Halo 5 multiplayer with the beta around the corner. I'll wager We won't see anymore Halo 5 SP stuff until MCC launchs which in itself will be an advertisement for Halo 5.

As for surprises, I'm not expecting anything but I'd love to get a glimpse at what else Rare and Lionhead (outside FL) are working on.

Personally I'm just looking forward to the QB blowout. I'm one who loved everything about Alan Wake except the reptitive gameplay. QB looks fantastic but I don't know what the hell it's even going to be like so I can't get excited for it.

They've shown off a lot about the master chief collection recently. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a map reveal with some gameplay.

I think we'll get some halo 5 stuff as well.
They really haven't... Just 30fps Cairo station gameplay and screenshots of Zanzibar not really exciting.
