This post had me feeling like a kid at Christmas who has just got all the toys he ever wanted, only for Jolly old Santa Clause to come back and fucking take them all away.
These boys are gunna chuck this next gen hybrid shit in the bin and go full cock out on a handheld instead, giving it the big-un about hooking it up to tv ect.
So a few days ago I posted this:
Now when I go to look it literally only has this:
They've been reducing availability of hardware on the UK store a for a while now. Consoles still fine. Accessories, buy else where.
Or RebrandingXbox is winding down
Or Godot. Who requested a perm. After telling people they were stupid for thinking Blade isn't exclusive since Xbox had an exclusive deal for Indiana Jones through Disney. Fucking gold. You can't make this shit up.
I hope they did not get spooked with all of the crap being thrown at Sony for $700. Most people have to know that consoles are going to be more expensive as we move forward. Not just consoles, electronics in general. I am wondering what the sticker shock is going to look like for things like the Steam Deck and other devices. I do not expect them to be cheap.I don't think its the end of Xbox hardware as I would bet a huge amount of money its not
Its just the end of me being able to tease shit, at least for now
But just as I type this I also wouldn't be shocked in the least if Phil tweets Xbox is in fact ending hardware production
Because the Concord/Pro "disasters" are quite overblown. One is a high-priced mid gen refresh and the other is one game in a flurry of bangers. Hardly a brand-ending situation.Pretty wild that MS is unable to capitalize on either of the Concord/Pro disasters. That just shows how bad of a situation they, and the entire industry, is in right now.
Not going to lie, I kind of miss his nonsensical tirades, on how Xbox was about to takeover the industry.Or Gavon west, hey Gavon?! React laugh if you’re still alive!!
Charitable view: they locked down initial specs and want to tone down the talk so Sony doesn't work things out quick and try and launch something with them.Maybe they are closing up shop, I dunno I didn't ask
That's what $699.99 does. Microsoft timed this well. This is usually how Sony does it.I think this news is not getting too much attention anyway
And split back off the publishers (Double Fine, Zenimax/Bethesda, ABK) they already acquired before they’re too far gone. They should never be allowed to acquire another company again.
Why dont they instruct their staff to release some games instead? Was Hellblade 2 in May the last first party release from them? What do they have now like 35 studios? Psshh
No, it isn't.What is better ? A hyper mega trillion dollar company that lays off its stuff all the time while buying studios costing hunders of billions or a company making a 800+ euro "slighty better than before" console ?
A videogame ala 80s crush is imminent, get your parachutes ready

a while back. what a gen it's been: first they went 'lite' (series s), & then they went dark...Did they also go dark on selling consoles?

Just for the single "day of silence/respect" or forever going forward?I find this interesting because I will repost what I posted last night in the thread talking about Xbox next move
Until Xbox speaks officially on their hardwareJust for the single "day of silence/respect" or forever going forward?
Watch how quickly price becomes a non-factor, if that scenario happens.Out in 2026 at $999 and strangely the price tag will be "understandable" because "it's basically a high-end PC".
Theres no way Satya is greenlighting another generation of Xbox consoles imo. Phil got lucky and blew smoke up his ass like a master and got a bunch of extra years of funding. But the proof is in the pudding. But I'd be surprised if Xbox actually formally announce an end of hardware, still plenty of inventory in the channel, keep the cherished words of Sarah Bond wafting around for false hope.Until Xbox speaks officially on their hardware

They've basically already confirmed another console, haven't they?Theres no way Satya is greenlighting another generation of Xbox consoles imo.

We never even saw that game changing new haptic controller. Which is a whole lot less effort than whole generation.

Here's what Sarah Bond said (could be almost anything or nothing)They've basically already confirmed another console, haven't they?
Okay, but what does that have to do with a controller?
