I used Mozilla for the longest time possible as I didn’t want Google and Microsoft stealing my porn collection. But after FireFox stopped working I switched to Opera and haven’t looked back since.

Thanks for the recos before guys. I've tried Chromium Edge and so far it's good. Only drawback is when I do a search, I get that blue bar at the top where it says..... This site uses cookies for analytics....
Cant figure out how to get rid of it.
Other than that, the transition of importing bookmarks and even Chrome apps worked perfect.
And no doubt the browser is taking up less resources. Every so often using Chrome, my laptop turns up the jets like it's going for take off for minutes. Then the fan goes down the normal.
Havent had that yet on Edge.
I like how when you search videos, you put your mouse on a box and it plays a few seconds preview...... not saying thats a good feature for porn or anything. lol

Going back to Chrome.
Edge sucks ass after trying it for a month or so. Half the time, new tabs and links bog down and take 10+ seconds to load.

firefox was like hands down the best browser for years, and then it slolwy just turned into shit. i have no idea what happened. it was so simple and just worked, and they somehow fucked that up lol. like you literally had to do almost nothing, and just leave it the way it is, but they managed to not be able to do that. im still baffled tbh

I used to use firefox until Edge received extensions
I was a longtime Firefox user until their Karen of a CEO insisted we needed more depaltforming and censorship. Switched to Brave and never looked back.

Like everyone I used FF a bit way back. Must had been 10+ years ago. I'm not sure if Chrome was even out yet. And if it was out it was super small.
All I know is FF was super fast compared to I think IE7. But over time it got slow. Then like most I tried out Chrome at some point and stuck with it since.

my work has only just moved to Edge because they are now finally on W10 
i was regularly using IE up until not that long ago. most people still use it but i use Edge. its disgusting how many internal systems are reliant on IE. we are gradually moving away from it though.
at home i the last time i used IE was in the early days of W10 before Edge moved to Chromium. it was my secondary browser … not that i used it much though. my main browser was Chrome until the end of 2020 which is when i tried moving to Edge. i used it for a few months and then went to firefox and ive been using that for about the last year or so. I still use Edge but not a lot.
i wonder if/when we’ll be talking about the end of Chrome.

For the end user it's not a biggie to lose that dinosaur of a browser. For my businesses it's a bit of a nightmare because we have GPOs in several domains that define proxy addresses and exemptions, and those settings are linked to Internet Explorer 10. Those settings are no longer there after you uninstall Internet Explorer. We'll have to get creative with domain wide registry entries.

I never had a problem with Internet Explorer (anti-competitive practices aside that the EU actually dished out punishment for).
It's a shame and not good to see the end of another web engine. Now we are pretty much left with Chromium, the bloated, heavy mess it is.
Trident Edge was fast and used little RAM. Blink is a turd, and Gecko little better.

And I still get corporate clients pushing for support of IE. I just decline to even quote or make a proposal if they're not listening to reason. I also stipulate don't call me when your corporate network and staff are hacked because you still have IE installed you fuckwits.

I’ve been using Chrome on my iPad Pro for years now. I believe all of the browsers on iPadOS are based around Safari, so it doesn’t really matter which one I use. I’m just so used to Chrome at this point.
