Microsoft: Next Xbox will work even when your Internet doesn’t

I don't see the e-mail in question. The INTERNAL e-mail as you put it, would have been sent to a group of people, so the same e-mail. You can't track who leaked it if the content is the same.

Hey man...it's an email...do you want a screenshot because it can easily be faked.

Eh...I never said you were misleading people into thinking you were not pro Sony. My point was that the reason you took my comment so personally was because you were a Sony fanboy, which you yourself agreed to.

My original post basically said that there are people who are pretending to be legitimately concerned about the Durango but they really just want to see MS fail, and I said these people are Sony fanboys. I then said that this thread was proof because of the number of people that are trying really hard to somehow spin this good news into a negative. You got butt-hurt at that comment, then said I was stupid, and that my posts were dumb.

The comment was not a response to anybody in an immature manner since I was not actually responding to anybody - I was just making a comment. It's pretty fucking hilarious that you're now sitting there telling me that if I don't like a post, I should ignore it and move on, WHEN MY ORIGINAL POST HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU AND FOR SOME REASON YOU DECIDED TO RESPOND TO IT AS IF I OFFENDED YOU.

When I pulled out your post history exposing all the stupid shit you've been saying in Durango threads, you responded with:

"lol baited. Thanks for the laughs"

How about you take your own advice next time? If you don't like the comment, ignore it. Many others in this very thread did.

But that's not who you are, is it? You just had to defend the sanctity of Sony's vagina didn't you?
This is exactly what I was baiting. You do it to yourself man.

Good news for consumers if true. I've seen enough back and forth over the years, that I'll wait until officially hearing it from Microsoft, probably on the 21st this month, before I'd actually believe it.

You're assuming incorrectly. Management attend the direction meetings. Not the people that would have received this rumored email. On top secret projects, you know only what's needed to do your particular piece.

What do you work for Microsoft or something? Because you seem to how they conduct their meetings within their business.

THIS. IS. SONYGAF!

Are you serious!? This GameFAQs shit needs to die pronto.

"Leak" news to gamers that offline play is happening, pretend like they never considered always-online, come out as pro-consumer heroes.

Next, they'll announce a fuck-ton of money-hatted deals in their reveal conference + E3 and no one will even remember this issue (or any other negative issue regarding Durango).

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Denying rumors about your system being always online isn't what I'd call pro-consumer, more like small relief. Now, making XBL free on the other hand...

And instead of money-hatting 3rd parties for timed exclusive deals, I'd much rather them have them focus on internally-developed exclusives (or publishing) instead. I mean the money-hatting thing worked for a few years, but it's lame now and just silly. At this point, it's just DLC and not really games anymore. Plus devs aren't really willing to do it anymore.

I mean MS' output was pretty damn good for the first few years, and then they just kind of gave up and let the 3rd parties do the work, which I guess was always the plan.

What is this garbage? If this is the nonsense I can expect when E3 rolls around this year, I may just have to go on a GAF-blackout.

Takuya says he will never own a xbox 720, yet he spends 80% of his time in xbox threads. We should start up a collection and get him one.

Nope. But at a place with similar setups. What I said isn't a secret, btw. There's lots of stories about how these companies function online. Many stories also about people interviewing at Microsoft and not having any idea what the job is, or what they'll be asked to do. Apple functions almost in the same exact fashion. I imagine Google as well. It's how you prevent leaks.

So many different sites saying things that completely contradict one another. Whether you believe it or not, it's best to wait until the 21st.

Personally I always thought the "Always Online, Always Connected" was taken out of context and was blown WAY out of proportion, alongside dev kits being forced online for tracking purposes and updates.

One thing is definitely true though is that some websites will have zero credibility after the 21st when it comes to rumors...I'm looking at you Kotaku...

Do they have any now?

Fine, I suppose.

To the mods: I didn't exactly know that saying stuff like that is bannable.

Juancho I guess you just admitted to purposefully trolling to get laughs out of it, which I'm pretty sure is bannable too, so I wouldn't be laughing if I were you. I'm going to go ahead and put you on my ignore list.

At least you acknowledge this as a rumor.

Everything non-official and coming from a "close source" or whatever is a rumor, but I work in a big company myself and such E-Mail are pretty common, especially about touchy subjects. Not everyone knows what's going on in every department locally, and then even globally.

Maybe Edge was right, but MS changed plans?
Why should MS send an email to all employees that are working on the xbox announcing this? it only makes sense if they changed plans. ?maybe there was too many bad feedback about that.

Or, maybe Edge read into "always online" incorrectly and assumed it meant something it didn't.

As for the second part about why would MS send that email? I think it makes perfect sense now. MS is now public about the unveiling and they want to make absolutely 100% sure that there are no more Adam Orth incidents. The only way to ensure EVERYONE is on the same page is by telling EVERYONE what that page is.
