Perfect choice.

That's nice but it doesn't change your post history...

Oh, I'm sure yours is full of nice things as well, but this topic isn't about post histories.

That being said, as I mentioned earlier, we'll see if Microsoft can show Europe that they care about that territory and aren't solely focused on the U.S.

I like Classic Shell 8 on Windows 8 on my UltraBook. :)

Don't care about your post history, but just funny that I just quoted you in the other thread about

" Not sure why people should need to shell out extra cash to fix what Microsoft broke anyhow."

but then admit you hardly use it on the next post

"Ah, ok. I only use Windows 8 on my Ultrabook since I don't really want to find the time to replace the entire OS. Only use it here and there, and besides, I mostly use Launchy to get stuff done."

Not and MS fan huh?

:P

Hope MS takes territories outside of US/UK more seriously this round (Canada!)

Not sure what hardly using my Ultrabook means, if anything? I use Windows 7 exclusively at home, and it's great. I'm not often in need to use my laptop since I'm either at work (Mac/Ubuntu), or at home (Desktop).

You mean, MS is dead to Japan...

cmon man japan is a weird country and is very protective with their economy and products

"A patriotic market

It’s interesting to note thatthe Japanese have a strong preference for buying Japanese-made brands. Sharp is the top Original Equipment Manufacturer for mobile devices (whether smartphones or basic cellphones), with a 23.5% market share, followed by Panasonic (13.8%), Fujitsu (11.8%), NEC (9.7%) and Sony (7.5%). So the top five OEMs are all Japanese. Apple is currently in eighth position, with just a 6.5% market share. However, Apple is showing the strongest growth among OEMs – sales were up 1.6% over the three months from November 2011."

we r talkign about Sharp being first mobile phones seller ..and apple 8th..WTF!!!!...who buy sharp mobile phones in europe or in usa? ..booh

ms xbox will never be first console in japan ...as sony ps will never be first in usa and canada

the fight is for europe....

Takuya derailing another positive Xbox thread. Who would've thought.

Good news that they're going to have a larger presence. Looking forward to everything Sony/Microsoft show off at all the shows pre-launch. As well as the third parties showing off their next gen titles.

Do MS/Sony reps take questions from the press at these events? If so, perhaps we'll get a lot of new nuggets of info from these various events about always-online, used games, XBL/PSN features/cost etc.

ms xbox will never be first console in japan ...as sony ps will never be first in usa and canada

Agreed, and then disagreed. There's nothing stopping Sony from regaining the number 1 position in the US/Canada.

So, you agree? :P And also, PS1/PS2 :)

You are talking about how a product is broken and yet admit you barely use it...

Really not a big deal, was just the timing of you post to where I quoted in the other one.

I've seen your many many posts in MS topics the past few days, I'm really not trying to have any kind of debate

Sony reps do. You usually see Denny and Jim something, CEO of SCEE- his second name escapes me, talking to the press and doing interviews afterwards.

they will only recycle old news that will be known for month then, who gives a damn about this
MS maybe, though I hope they learn from Sony and treat this like E3 Number 2.

Lighten up for crying out loud, you guys take this way too seriously. By the way, do you even think "the next chapter of Xbox" won't heavily feature Kinect? And do you think people here won't complain about it?

Of course it will but this GIF is very over used and just down right annoying now and do you think "the next chapter of Xbox" isn't going to have anything else other than Kinect?

Lighten up for crying out loud,

Wasn't directed at you specifically. It has been a trend in most MS topics

-Paywall
-Kinect
-Bender GIF

The actually topic never matters, derail kicks in

I'm asking Santa for this to stop next gen for Xmas :P

Yes, that is precisely what I think. Obviously. Let me tell you, if you're going to get this annoyed over people using popular gifs as a reply to something (especially when they're pertinent), you're going to have a rough time in GAF.

It's certainly not my wish to derail the thread and even though I was just making a light-hearted post that I admit contributed nothing to the thread (even if I think it's terribly pertinent), if we're talking about the future of Xbox isn't it natural to talk about the paywall and Kinect? Should we avoid these topics and speak only of the good things and the hype, because there's a trend?

A different department within Xbox handles Kinect hardware and software. The focus was more on developing and networking both consoles with Kinect more of an after thought at that point, considering dealing with it would be less of an issue even with hardware changes to the main console hardware. Kinect isn’t the primary focus.

Man I wished this stupid GIF was bannable by now..every single MS topic

As much as it's used, it's pretty accurate considering Microsoft's recent conference offerings. I'm sure we'll get a lot of Kinect products and features at both E3 and Gamescom, I just hope it's much better than what's been shown in the past.

I have no problem "dealing" with popular GIFs but the Kinect trolling has really been beaten to death. Also there is a reason memes and GIFs become bannable on this forum.

I hope Kinect 2, or whatever it's called, is shown. If they're building their new console with it as an important means of input, I want to see as much about it as possible before I buy one.

Sure, but the success of those two previous consumer electronic products shows it's not a cultural thing.

no usa r protective...as government (they saved a lots of companies) but opened as customers (if ppl like ...they could buy also chinese things!)

japan is protective..and closed...in japan is a cultural thing to buy japanese things...dosnt matter if others r better (sales in mobile phone show it clearly)

(i dont know if is correct my english)

I'm sure they'll show it off. My hope is that they let people demo it on the show floor and in real world setups to see how much they've improved the tracking system and what they can do with it.

Do you honestly believe Kinect won't be a focus? I don't mean at Gamescom, I mean as a whole. Highly unlikely.

It might be (I sincerely doubt it), that is not a bad thing for everyone and does not deserve ridicule.

It's like calling out people who like JRPG's or social gaming. People have different tastes.

As a company MS never dead to Japan, they even profitable there, sorry

I am sure he means Xbox in which case he would be completely right. Things been out in Japan for 8 years and its going to get outsold by the Vita soon ( a console that many people claim is dead).

Seems like Ms and Sony like their press conferences eh? Its all good it keeps the hype going.

I don't think its ridiculing kinect fans but its showing dismay or disappointment form the poster that the conference may be focused on Kinect or have a large part dedicated to it. Lets be honest most people on this forum would prefer core games rather than kinect games.

It's not really about being pertinent or not, it's about being annoying. I started being a regular on GAF because of the silly gifs. I laugh at most of them, whether they're pertinent or not, provided they're funny.
But even the best joke in the world gets old if you hear it word for word everyday of the week. The point of a meme isn't to copy-paste the same message over and over, but to add variations to a single concept. If you want to add a kinect gif, at least try to be creative. Here, take this as a gift.
