BTW the original didn't "crash and burn" the smart ones among us already knew what was going to happen during the reveal.

Ugh, I want to try out the new controller so bad. My 360 controller and DS3 are starting to look outdated compared to the Xbox One and DS4!

They seemed to improve on the design like they do every generation, but both companies seem to have stepped up the materials as well. The sticks on the Xbox One for example, look extremely high-quality.

Yeah, pretty much. They said time and time over again that it wasn't going to be about games, but rather a quick overview of the name, controller, Kinect, and features/OS. E3 was always going to be the showcase for the games.

But I really hope that MS brings the goods at E3. Both in regards to NoDRM and usedgames as well as actual games.

Looking at the teaser trailer, it could also be a sign that Fable IV for One will go back to the series' roots, which is definitely a good thing.

I wonder how much time MS will spend on 360 during the conference. Clearly they likely have a new model to announce, but I wonder if they'll have any more games like F1R to announce. Perhaps the rumoured Halo 2 Anniversary will also be coming to 360.

I hope you're right, because Fable 1 is still my favorite out of the two I've played. I really loved Fable 1, so I'm excited to see what the remake looks like, but I'm still very optimistic and excited about Fable 4.

Microsoft owns and has owned plenty of franchises that they let stay dormant, as do any other publisher. I think some of the franchises they had the opportunity to use, like Shadowrun before they butchered it with an online only FPS, or letting the Mech Assault/Warrior IP go back to Smith & Tinker. Microsoft wants the MEGA hits ala Activision. They don't want to "waste" their time making more niche experiences. I think that Sony's approach doesn't get the respect it should for their seeming disregard for how popular a release might be as long as it fills a void in their lineup. I wish Microsoft took a page out of their playbook in this area instead of always shooting for only record breaking sales and popularity contests.

They announced several times before, during and after what to expect, we were warned. E3 is bringing the games and megatons and I fully anticipate Microsoft going balls to the wall.

Really hope you're right about Fable 4 going back to the series roots, pardon the pun.

I actually don't mind Lionhead focusing solely on Fable though. About time all the series potential was realised.
 
I really hope we see some Fable 4 at the conference, but I could see them hold it off for Gamescom. Either way, I think them announcing Fable 1 HD for the 360 is a good move, and a good sign.

1 gets a lot of love, but Fable 2 was easily one of the funnest RPGs I've played on any gen.

Beat it 3 times in a row.

Used to give Fable 'MTV Crib Tours' of my masions and castle to my buds over Live through co-op.

Love Lionhead with or without Peter M.

I dont think we where building hype because we where expecting all the bad rumors to be true.
At least many of us didnt, and it makes sense.

We're talking about the presentation, the rumors you're speaking about weren't even answered until after. As far as the presentation goes we knew from the beginning that it wasn't going to be gaming only.

Would you like to expand on this exactly? I have definitive proof that we knew before hand that the reveal was not going to be gaming heavy.
 
Would be nice if Microsoft says something about used games and Always Online at the E3 press conference.

I just hope that the show has more to offer than Kinect games and Halo.

Well, yeah. Even the tv tv tv canned presentation sucked big balls. Dont tell me it was what you imagined to be...
And also, presentation led to all bad rumors being 100% true immediately after.

Anyways, I dont want to de-hype those that are hyped. But train was crashed and burned last time :)

the reveal and post reveal details were a massive letdown.

But i do believe Microsoft has a few megatons up their sleeves for E3.
