Liking the controller a lot more the more pics I see of it. Didn't think it was so close to the 360 controller's size. I think I preferred the 360 controller's curves, though; the bottom of the One controller especially seems like it might not be as comfortable just based off the pictures, it looks like there's less room to hold it. Love that they changed the sticks a little.

I just don't want you to stumble into a ban somehow (it happens) and it become a permaban because you're a junior because of me. Oh well. What's saddening is practically only one person actually recognized it as a good idea (everyone else is saying
ok they're not, but it comes out like this because they aren't careful to read
that pressing "A" twice is complicated). :( What I like, though, is that he actually brought up a legitimate problem with it. I did my best to respond, I just...wow. internets n stuff I guess

Dude, you've got to respect that not everyone's going to agree with you. People made good counter-arguments to your post. It's not like some open-and-shut case of "I'm right and they're wrong." Some of the other stuff, like "I'll try to talk slowly" was pretty condescending too. I'm not saying you're the only one who does that, but you have to walk on eggshells a little when you're a junior. I don't agree with your first post, but anyone who spends that much time and effort making their argument isn't worth losing because of how crazy it gets here pre-E3.

Really looking forward to this E3. The last 3 ... maybe even 4, after the press conferences all the excitement just sort of died.

Years ago I loved how IGN had a timetable every day and had a new developer on plugging their game every 30 minutes. With the Live show Major is doing every night, and all the next gen stuff, I think it's gonna be the best in years.

YES they (MS) have Jess Chobot doing stuff!

I have faith in MS they will bring it this E3. How many surprises they can hold onto will be interesting.

Show us gameplay.

I don't enjoy watching IGN's stuff, their people are very awkward. Gamespot is a bit better and we'll possible see Giant Bomb + Gamespot at e3.

I'll also be tuning into Rev3's coverage, gotta see what Sessler thinks.

I feel the same way. The last few haven't really had legs. But with the release of next-gen consoles coming later this year we know the hype and coverage won't stop after the conference.

Guys, i wanted to do a checklist or something like it so:

How up to date is this image macro?

Edit: AFIK PsEye isn't in the box

"Software can turn it off" Someone hacked the 1984box that hasn't been released yet?

What are you talking about? 1984box? Why are you trolling the MS thread? I remember when you weren't allowed to be this dumb on GAF.

No doubt they will bring it, i just hope they change their mind on that online drm. I don't care about the used thing but the online drm is what bothers me.

Alright! Finally off from work, have I missed anything?

Hmmmm I see some tiny little reveals for E-3, Dark Souls 2? Hope they improve the graphics since DS 1 was sorta crappy looking.

Cause I liked my 360, not fond of THE ONE. I remember when consoles played games.

Good news, the XB1 is a console that plays games. Not sure how you missed that.

Also, liking the 360 doesn't give you permission to troll the XB1 and spread misinformation like it's some sort of fact.

Brave.

No, MS PR somewhere said it can 100% be disabled.

Except...you can't unplug it. :/

I don't mind kinect so much, but I move my Xbox between my TV and my monitor, and I prefer to keep the kinect at the TV and just plug it in when the Xbox is as well. Now I have to move kinect as well. :(

Microsoft, I'm fine with having kinect shipped with the 'bone and all that (Sony is rumored to be doing the same, so I don't have much of a choice in that regard), but having it required to be plugged in is a huge inconvenience to me.

Why is this hard for them to understand? Hubris?

Yeah, honestly this is the least of my worries. As long as they fulfill their promise -- even in half (7 of fifteen games not being throw-away games is still a lot of games) -- I'm good.

All Microsoft needs to do to get my money eventually is severely reduce the online requirements -- like, at least down to a week. A month would be better.

All Microsoft needs to do to get my money on launch day is to, along with the former statement, get rid of the stupid DRM.

What the fuck is this mess?!

DS1 is beautiful, art trumps graphics.

Very excited about the inclusion of Dark Souls II. In any capacity. I wouldn't care if it was an N-Gage exclusive at this point.

Kinect is going to have some silicon in it, maybe it requires to be plugged in to help share the processing load?

Microsoft needs to do something similar to what Samsung does, however much money they make from revenue on Xbox Live subscriptions they should put a equal amount into yearly game development.

If I were to guess, I'd say it's because MS wants devs to actually put it to use. Including it in the box is a big step, saying it needs to be connected is another. Perhaps they want to assure devs that the extra (voice/motion) features they work into their game will actually get used, and that in turn will get more devs exploring what's possible in the realm of "better with Kinect".

On top of the fact that it seems to be heavily integrated into the UI.

A thought. If that's the case then I'm fine with it I guess. Still an inconvenience to lug kinect around. I already have to lug the console...and the controller...and the brick...and a few games at present. Kinect isn't going to help. I wish, like the 360, the One wasn't designed so much for just the living room. It's fine if it is, well, designed for the living room in general, but it really should be more versatile than they have been describing -- just like the 360.

But they said that it can be disabled! If it can be disabled, I would like to unplug it. This then kinda leads me to believe they're not telling the whole truth. Maybe the whole truth doesn't exist, and they are still trying to put things down. IDK. Can't wait till e3.

Oh yes, I won't be here. :(

Xbox One has five pieces of silicon, 3 in the console and 2 in the Kinect.

Just dropping this here because it may be relevant to some of you who are going to buy XBOX ONE.
I am not trying to bring out the MS Defense Force at me, but I've heard GPU clocks might be downgraded. 8-900 gigaflops for gaming. The APU is big. This isn't 100% confirmed though and is being done to improve yields.

CBoat do you mind adding anything?

Hmm, I've been hearing some of this myself. It'll be hilarious if MS tries to sell a more expensive gaming machine with 1/2 of the perf. Knowing people's buying habits, they still might beat Sony on the market though. :/

why does it seem like people who never planned on getting the xbox one are the most bitter about it? lol.

let people enjoy the xbox thread in peace.
