ps4:
tutorial wasnt confusing
frame rate is smooth in game its not 30 of course probably 50 plus i dont know, didnt think about fps when playing and thats all i cared about.
everything was preloaded a day ago or more, as far as i can see.
game is fun, its really enjoyable going from one kind of stealth kill to the next.

It is, unless the frame rate gradually unlocks as you explore more of the map.

shrug, frame rate on bridge in tutorial was 30 but it rotates smoother than that in open world. You can check with iphone6 slo mo video and playback as you spin the camera.
my game isnt background downloading.

People posted hundreds of very pretty shots before photo mode was even added to Infamous.

And that's what I wrote in my original post: Infamous is a PS4 exclusive that fully uses the capabilities of that system and has of course better tech and image quality. That is why a multiplatform title with weaker art style and engine and looks worse than Infamous. There is a reason for that difference.

Seems like the game is running unlocked but hovering in the high 30s to low 40s like Infamous did.

I think we know by now that no one can tell frame rates in this thread. Hope df get their article out soon.

Also this lol. I thought the game was running pretty high in the tutorial but others have me doubting.

Probably people were guessing it was 60 but it wasn't.

Just out of curiosity, what was the last type of game like this that ran 60 on consoles? Its quite rare I thought.

I dont understand why everyone said this is 60 fps, it clearly isnt

very dissapointed
In the hype thread, it was said that the devs were trying to target 60fps and people who have played it at PAX or other events felt like it was 60fps, but maybe they buckled as the game released?
I also asked him that. He said, "I know we're working to get as close to that as possible on PS4/XB1 but we have nothing to confirm atm."

A GAFer who played at PAX14 said it seemed to be a very solid 60fps to him. I guess we'll see for sure soon.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
I found some info (by searching words I'd use to describe the look of 30fps, that have nothing to do with smoothness) that describes exactly how I can instantly tell the difference between 30 and 60.

http://sourceforge.net/p/gdalgorith...ad/406303DF.5000300@inverse-entertainment.de/

I'm like the poster named 'Steve Baker' in that I see a double image at 30fps and a triple image at 20fps, but don't see a quadruple image at 15fps.

Again, I won't have this game for PS4 until late in the morning Pacific time.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
Dude. This is an open world ps4 develiped game. Tlou is an upport.

This game is a cross-gen release and looks far closer to being a slightly improved PS3 game on PS4. Really letdown by the visuals so far. Muddy textures, simple models, orcs and dynamic weather/time is nice, but I am reminded a lot of some of the cross-gen launch games last year playing this.

Its alright so far. Haven't been blown away yet, but the Nemesis system is really neat. Feels too easy already though and I have barely moved up the skill tree. I guess some people will get a treat out of just slaughtering orcs wholesale, but the Nemesis system deserves a far better challenge and I grow a bit weary of the lack of challenge already.

Think he meant open world.

Durrr. Time for me to go to bed. Up too late getting some play time in.

Died twice to one guy, fucking tracker. Going to get that bastard tomorrow. Tutorial is lacking but all info is provided through a menu very clearly, I like it better than it being forced. Combat is WAY more Batman than AC, feels good and will probably become way more varied with upgrades.

Cons so far; The world seems brown and boring and the things you "find" seem to be clearly labeled on the map. PS bonuses not available at launch. Frame rate feels good but its not as smooth as TLoU in my opinion, I'm no expert.

Just early impressions but I am liking the game and would recommend it as it seems to have tons of potential and pros far outweigh the cons at this point. It's no GoTY imo but definitely a solid 85% after two hours. Good job Monolith.

Very disappointed in WB. No DLC for PS owners at launch, who knows what the fuck the framerate is for either console at this point? Deceptive, shady and shitty. WB working hard to get dat EA crown...

After playing on my monitor for an hour instead of the tv, the game must be 900p or very close on xbox one and 30 fps. Also have not experienced any slowdowns either which is good. Overall the game looks fantastic, anybody buying on xbox one will be ok :)

If you can't tell, do you really want to know...especially if it's going to 'ruin' the game.

Died a couple times to one guy, just stupid deaths. Wound up tracking him to an area that they warned would result in alarms, went after him anyway. That started a huge brawl with 10-15 guys versus me, with reinforcements coming in constantly. I wound up winning, but he escaped after taking near fatal damage. Next time, Skoth...next time.

Which is funny considering that the PS3/360 titles are created by an entirely different team and all of the focus has been put on the PS4/Xbone/PC titles.

Are you perhaps underwhelmed by the world since it is based on Mordor and is not supposed to be full of vibrant colors and wonderful art direction? Hence you say the textures are 'muddy'

Because I have seen some direct feed shots on the Console Screenshot Thread and there is nothing that screams cross-gen to me.

The thing I find the most intriguing atm is how everyone seems to draw different conclusions about the games difficulty. Can't wait to get home and find out for myself.

It is getting pretty common now that eu gets a game before the uk. I guess the uk must have some weird regulation of releasing games on a Tuesday or Friday.

Its not cross gen since a different dev is handling the 360 and ps3 versions. Maybe the game started as cross gen tho.

Ok, people were interested in direct feed screenshots from Xbox One. Here you go:\

It's locked to 30FPS it seems. Also seems sub-1080p, but I can't tell for sure.

It is. Doesn't seem 900p either, the steps are more pronounced. My guesstimate would be around 790-850p with some neat AA.

Edit: It's more than 720p, that's for sure.

Thanks for the feedback. Since yesterday, I was getting worried a bit. I don't care about resolution or framerate but if the gap was as big as 720p/1080p, I'd felt like being cheated on. With the developers not willing to give any info, it's like being set up.

I took half day off, so in an hour, I'll be walking into Mordor lol

Man.. All these positive reactions make me want to buy this game but I am seriously wondering if it is worth the full price.

yes it is. def worth it imo. having a blast, hooks you right in. you know, like LOTR did, with that asesome narrator and music...so good.

That just strange, game already released and still no media going to make a simple count?

I'd pretty much only trust software analysis, not the same media who couldn't tell that unpatched PS4 Ghosts was 720p.

Sorry if this has been answered, y'all, but I can't seem to access the Legion Edition content. There's a lock icon next to the PS Store link in the game's menu; I'm assuming that's where it is?

Any idea what this is about? I'm using an AU account to play it (US), but I've tried accessing it via my US account, as well as restoring licenses.

Much appreciated, guys.
