The ref in the game has an 11 game losing streak for when Paul plays. Make it 12. lol

Giannis god game.

Suns could had won if they didnt brick all those 3's.

Very happy for Giannis and the Bucks. They're a hard team to not like.

Going to be a tough off season for CP3. This was possibly his last chance to lead a team to the finals, if he gets a ring now it's going to involve taking a pay cut to be the 3rd/4th option on offense.

Congrats to the winner
, but the last two games were utter garbage. I´ve never seen an NBA match this boring, terrible defense. A lot of misses, flops and some players that should not be playing basketball like nr99 of the suns.

Fell asleep during the 5th match. I still remember the 90s NBA what a stark contrast, fast, action, drama, intense ... if one of these players makes it into the hall of fame, it´s time to riot. No wonder LeBron is considered the best ... #lol

dude, 50 points by Giannis in an NBA Finals elimination game? Legendary.

I definitely didn't see this coming after the Suns went up 2-0 in the series. :messenger_hushed:

Good response by the Bucks to going down 0-2.

It was a very weird year, and they probably shouldn't be title winners, but you can't really take it away from them... It's not their fault the more difficult matchups were injured. Congrats Milwaukee, those fans are legit. Hard to not love Giannis.

I was pulling for the Suns, cause while kind of dirty, I've always liked CP3, but no issue at all with Giannis getting one. Dude should be the posterchild of what makes a great talent. Didn't have to go join 2 other hall of famers to get a cheap ring or two. Nope, stayed in his small market and was a true leader. Hoping my boys Tatum and Brown can take that next step in leadership and give him a run next season (We won't....).

I didn't get to watch any of the games, but I was more interested in the results of these finals then any finals in at least the last 10 years. I'm so over the superteam bullshit that is the NBA that is was awesome to see two smaller markets get a chance to compete for a title.

Straight up physical domination that we haven't seen on an nba finals since Shaq.
Giannis sounds like such a great lad, really happy we went from a possible injury-defining career moment a couple of weeks ago to him winning a championship.

So much this. I have zero respect for Durant and the likes. Pathetic individuals.

Watch CP3 join Lebron in the offseason for another chance. AFAIK the Lakers need a point guard xD

Also congrats to the Bucks. I'm a Suns fan but the series was over after game 4, they just didn't really stand a chance against an overall better Team. I was seriously surprised that the Suns won 2 in a row at the start.

Still the season and the playoffs were great to watch as a Suns fan. From being the worst to getting to the finals in such a short time is a nice thing to witness. I just hope they keep their young core together and maybe they'll have another shot down the line

That must be awesome as a Suns fan. My team is Boston, but I was born and spent alot of my life in MN so I know the pain of watching your team be just awful forever, wish KAT would find the internal drive to take that step that Giannis did in leadership and dominate that way. Too many bigs want to shoot a ton of 3s, it's awesome to see a physical being dominate again, haven't seen it since my favorite player (Shaq) left the league.

I am a Laker fan... but I get this, I agree. I don't care much about "small markets" but it's definitely a nice change from "superteams", aka superstars joining up through either free agency or forcing trades, being always involved and very often winning recent finals. Now, if said "superteams" were healthy this season neither the Bucks nor the Suns would have been in the finals, IMO, but that's ok. As I said that's not their fault and injuries happen. Bven for me, whose team frankly could have won this title if they were healthy, it's still refreshing to see.

Also impossible to deny that part of that satisfaction is the fact that the Nets, Clippers, Celts (not that they were a legit threat) didn't get there, and that CP3 didn't end up winning. I don't hate CP3 but I cannot really be happy for former Clippers' success, especially considering the circumstances that saw him playing for the Clips.

For you basketball experts, whats the key reason why Bucks did it this year, while past years they blew it (even with better regular season records)?

Just skimming stats, the biggest difference to me on the player front Holiday/Portis coming in and past failure years had Bledsoe/Brogdan.

Were these roster changes the key? Or other things were more important?

Roster Change was helpful. Giannis took a step he didn't have in the past and realized he's a beast and pretty much unguardable in the way Shaq was back in the day. Holiday had a few rough games I think, but overall a better fit as the PG of this team. They benefited from letting their roster grow together for the most part without trying to make the big trade to put them over the top, they made the smart smaller moves that helped the big guns in ways that Bledsoe/Brogdan didn't.

Key injuries in teams with multiple superstars like Clippers with Kawhi and Nets with Irving and Harden . Don't forget that the Nets was a few cm away from KD's shoe in eliminating the Bucks , and that game had only KD went supernova .

Still very happy that Bucks won it especially Giannis winning it with his buddy Middleton after playing together for so many years . What a storyline .

Right, a lot of teams were plagued by injuries this year, especially during the playoffs. The Suns might not have made it this far if it wasn't for Kawhi and Anthony Davis being out. The Clippers still did a great job without Kawhi though.
