I've got a situation I need some clarification on before I buy this game digitally.
My daughter asked for Minecraft for our XBox One for xmas. I want to buy it digitally so I bought a Minecraft-branded $25 XBox gift card to put inside a set of Minecraft strategy books I also got her.
Here's where I have an idea to get the most bang for my buck, let me know if my thinking is off base:
She has a XBox 360 in her room, my old console. It's not online but can be if needed to download something, etc. It has my Live account on it with Gold and her "sub" account on it, which I assume does NOT have Gold. We have an XBox One in the family room with my Live account with Gold and her account, which shares my Gold access.
Can I purchase Minecraft on 360 for 20 bucks on MY Live account, and then use the extra 5 bucks to upgrade to the XBox One edition as well? That way she can play both the 360 version on her account in her room and transfer those creations to the XBox One and play on there with her sub account?
