All models pre-assembled. Interesting. I've always been pushed off Wyrd by stories of oddly cut tiny pieces, like a guy's beard.
I don't blame you, those pieces are a major pain in the ass.

Something that has been floating on the back of my mind since I got back into the hobby: do you see GW going back to square rounds in the future ? I have a lot a painted minis that are not based, I could order some round bases and get a nice army boost / some starting armies.
Thanks, i think i'll get those if available, along with some other greens since i don't think i trust these Vallejo greens.
You know when I'm not feeling so lazy I will take a slew of pics of the minis I have painted since my return to the hobby and heck, why not put them on a tumblr or one of those fancy toys you kids are using.
I'm sadly not a good painter but hey... ^_^
Will be interesting to see if I'm getting better as time passes.
What should I be buying to paint figurines and whathe video tutorials should I be watching? Tossing between tau start collecting or getting a kill team box
Helicon that is some fantastic work. I almost went for similar colors on my Ork team. Do you have shots of the weapon options up close?
Although I'm mostly a lurker here I still like to post when I've actually got round to finishing something
After three months solid work as and when I can he's finally done, this has been arguably the most satisfying thing I've ever painted. I think I remember posting him here in January when I assembled him.......

He was actually "finished" a month ago but it took another month to paint all the weapon options!
I'm definitely going to spend the next few months painting small models, a Celuxus Assassin is next on the list

Love it! I still need to put transfers on mine. Did you use an airbrush?
Now I just have to really buckle down and start painting more then playing video games. This is going to be a challenge.
I'll try and post my meager progress on my Fightin' Orkish Bloodbowl team. Going for the assembly line method but it makes my slow painting even slower this way.
Looks like I missed the Canoness. Didn't remember she was coming for preorder today because I had such a busy day and it seems she's now sold out. Oh well.
They're sending limited quantities to physical stores but they're gonna keep restocking the online store
I doubt they go back to requiring square bases so stick them on whatever you like. Curiously though there's a rumour that they're about to re-release the Island of Blood set and it'll come with both square and round bases.
I try and balance 4 very distinct, time consuming, and expensive hobbies. Time management is a real challenge at times. I always go towards social hobbies first, but after that I go where my mood takes me.
And yes, painting everyday, even if it's just a little is a great motivator IMO. My Zombicide project has been a real boon to my painting hobby in large part to daily painting. I have just been doing bases the last 3 days so I'm not feeling any major progress like I do when I finish a survivor, but the end is in sight and I'll be onto more fun and progressive stuff very soon.
Everyone should be posting progress here!
Do I even need to do a Finish for protect? Shrug
Are your minis or stuff for display or playing? If the latter, varnish is recommended as the paint will wear eventually.
At least that's how i understood it.
It's here.
"Supplied with round and square bases for each model."
Curiously, about half of this box is available in plastic and the other half is still only available in resin. I haven't seen anything that indicates the resin-only models are now plastic. Mixed plastic/resin box?
Those Tau are absolutely fine. Throw some good basing on there and it will elevate the models even further.
If you're feeling a bit blah about them, complete one of the models. I'm talking based, highlighted, and varnished. Set it in front of you and glance at it occasionally as you paint the rest. A single finished model can be absolutely inspiring.
