Seriously, After the dissapointments of the n64 games and GC games, we Zelda fans deserve something thsi good.

I thought the game was way too tedious. I deeply hated the Kinstone collect-a-thon. Not enough dungeons and too much overworld Kinstone hunting.

80% of the kinstones were optional.

That stuff is optional. And it is definately no where near as tedious as the bug(skull tulla) hunting.

The boss fight in the last two dungeons were great. I really like the talking hat and it has some funny lines to cracked me up. :lol

Minish Cap rocked the house -- right up there with LttP for me .... I'm new to the seriese and lack any purist-nostalgia, but Minish Cap is just as quality as any of them.

the Kinstone thing was the first time I've ever been interested in Zelda sidequests - I unlocked everything in that game.

the skills upgrading in MC allowed you to feel as though you were playing a different game at the end of it. I enjoyed it 100% and the new usable items are great too.

I've still got this game in its shrink wrap from when I purchase it when it was first released :-\ But I did just finish FE (finally!!!) and I'm going through Metroid: Zero Mission and once that's done I'll start Minish Cap :) Unless of course I start another round of FE ;-)

Wow, I didn't think it was humanly possible to not like Ocarina of Time.

I recently played through Ocarina of Time and MQ, both for the first time, and absolutely loved them. People who complain about OoT have serious problems. I have now played through every Zelda, BTW, I also agree that Minish Cap rocks. But I did screw up the fourth bottle thing...stupid glitch.

Minish Cap was good, but felt rather samey. You know, most of the game felt like I've played it before and that the gameplay hadn't really evolved from previous 2D Zelda games. Capcom's Zelda games, while very good, all give me that feeling. Obviously the stories in those games are totally new, and even some of the items you use, but at the same time feel somewhat familiar and unevolved. All of the Nintendo-developed games felt pretty new to me with each installment, even Link's Awakening. When I first played that game (LA), I felt the controls of the series were improved and it had jumping and some other things. Not a revolution to the formula, but to me an improvement. Most of what Capcom has done did not feel this way to me. So the Capcom games disappointed me a bit, but are still high quality in the end.

How long if you don't do the kinstone hunt? I'm trying to fit a season or 2 of 24 into one week with some gaming on the side.

I went through Minish Cap in a week, playing about three hours a night or so, and did everything I could do, except screwing up the bottle thing, and finding one piece of heart. I think I had a few kinstones left too, 7 IIRC, so if you just focus on the main quest for a couple hours each day, you could probably pull it off. But you'll want to play it more-it's good stuff. :D

I only JUST bought Minish Cap the other day, gave it a quick run.. played the "ahoy" version when it first came out for US and completed the first dungeon. Anyway, the game looks great and since Link to the Past GBA port came out, I had hoped (and semi-knew) they would implement the Four Swords look for a new original Zelda.

I liked Minish Cap, but I think it was far from being the greatest Zelda game. I'm going through A Link To The Past again right now, and while I always considered it the best, I had forgotten how awesome it really is.

Playing ALTTP again also made me realize how much I dislike the "kiddy" theme in Minish Cap and Wind Waker. I really liked both games, but Zelda shouldn't be that juvenile.

Minish Cap was decent fun while it lasted, but I'd say it's easily the worst Game Boy Zelda yet. Link's Awakening and the Oracle Twins totally spank it!

I stopped playing about halfway through. Too many puzzles and not enough action. Every step you take there's a fucking puzzle. Also, it doesn't feel like a Nintendo game. Something's slightly off. Of course, it isn't a Nintendo game, so there's an explanation.

super awesome game, sucks you into its awesome 2D world. super cool music, i actually wanna hear them in the new zelda

N64's OOT was the highest seller in the entire series

I absolutely loved this game... pefect little game for a jaded gamer that is always "wishing things were like they were back in the day"... a little easy and the kinstone puzzles were annoying - but it had some awesome ideas, and some of the best music I've ever heard in a Zelda game. I loved the boss of the wind cavern. That being said, my favorite Zelda will probably always be LTTP. :D

Alot of people are missing out as its ltd is only 468,395 after 4 months ;_;

C'mon its got top notch GBA graphics & music. The control is just plain perfect. And its very very fun! I love the kinstone stuff its not something ya gotta go out of your way to do for the most part. Also 6 dungeons > 9. Short but sweet and very replayable due to the shortness. I always felt the first game & LttP dragged on abit. All the boss fights were fun and imaginative and the new items were actually useful for more then just puzzles. Fun is the key word here an Minish Cap is stuffed with it!

What?

I guess I can understand not liking WW, but MM and OoT rule.

And yes, Minish Cap is awesome.

I love Zelda to much to pick a best and you need a butt whoopin' for dissing the N64 games, but this game sure as hell did rock. Nintendo needs to take some notes from Capcom, alot of the stuff in this game would be awesome in the main Zelda titles. Swiftblade is like the coolest Zelda character ever too, I would kill to see his possession technique with more modern graphics, I hope they go 3d soon. OoT quality visuals on DS with that same art style. *drools*

The Kinstones sucked, they ruined the overworld for me. Instead of bombing a wall and shit like that, I had to talk to some random ass person to open a cave. It was pretty weak IMO, but the rest of the game was solid.

I think it needed a couple more dungeons, too, but it was better than the like, 2 dungeons in Wind Waker. Is LttP always going to be the biggest Zelda game?

Best 2D Zelda title? :lol

Even though LttP is the better game, Minish Cap is still a worthy title and is one of the better games on the GBA. If you're into Zelda, it's a good purchase.
