If you use Firefox, you should get the Scrapbook plugin. It archives pages and lets you organize them in folders. Or if you really want to save every page you come across, get the Slogger extension.Jotaro said:I always archive every picture, video, sound clip related to GAF that I see in a GAF named folder. I dunno, maybe it will serve a good purpose someday.

Borys said:Maybe, just MAYBE Mint is Venthor.
HTTrack Website Copier can be set to spider through sites, downloading the entire site, or specific files. Not the most user-friendly, but pretty powerful and quite effective.Jotaro said:No I archive media, not whole webpages or threads. Maybe I would like to do this, but I would need some good external software. And unfortunately, my eyes forbid me from using Firefox.
Thanks for your input tough. I'd appreciate an external solution, damn I really hate having to stick with IE.

If Mint is indeed fake, then it should creep out whoever is in the photo. Remember how Camilla freaked out on her blog about Serafitia/Dujour using her photo for years?bjork said:People have a reason for doing whatever they do, so whether it's a gag or just an attempt at hiding an identity, does it really matter?

Yeah, you WOULD take that stance.bjork said:People have a reason for doing whatever they do, so whether it's a gag or just an attempt at hiding an identity, does it really matter?

TOTALLY different IP addresses. Venthor hasn't logged in yet, though the account is active.xsarien said:Considering that this would show up nearly immediately in Venthor's registration, I think one of the Mods or Admins would've come forward with that information by now.
Socreges said:Yeah, you WOULD take that stance.
Well, you're wasting as much time and energy in defense as the next person. But I suppose your time and energy is VIRTUOUS, while we're just scum trying to feel "big and important" at the expense of innocent members that have done no wrong!bjork said:Yeah, I would, because I think before I react. Everyone's all like HA, GOT YOU, but if the purpose of lifting photos is to maintain anonymity, you've done nothing by finding out the photos are fake... the person behind them is still as much as mystery as before, if not moreso.
Or at least, that's how I see. If getting in some online circlejerk makes you feel big and important, that's cool. Just seems like a waste of time and energy to me.

You had about as much pride invested in the Serafitio scandal than the imposter him/herself. So any reaction that you've made has been expected. Not to mention that you're not only one of few to take it, but that you are by far the most vocal. Coincidence? No, it's just very transparent. Not to rip into you, but I don't believe this moral highground bullshit for a second.
bjork said:So how it matters that this person threw up a facade and people act like it's some massive betrayal or something, I don't understand. For people who go, "lolz the internet doesn't matter, it's not real", it sure seems important when a few hundred sad people can try and boost their ego at some stranger's expense.
Disco Stu said:Here's how it matters: Dullards are being taught that boorish behavior is okay on the InterWeb. These people are taught it's okay to steal and lie and treat others like crap because, hey! it's not as if there will be any reprecussions.
Well, you can tolerate it all you want. But it's not harmless.
When Serafakia stole those pictures and took that woman's life as his/her own because he/she was too pathetic to lay claim to her real existence, do you honestly think no was affected?
Stealing is not okay. Lying to make yourself seem cool is not okay. Behaving like a dolt is not okay. If this child did indeed steal someone's else's pictures, he should be called on it. And maybe, just maybe, he'll learn -- I don't know -- some small lesson.
bjork said:That's fine, I'll agree with all of that.
Explain how it affects anyone on this forum, though, since it doesn't.
Disco Stu said:Lying to make yourself seem cool is not okay.
That's right. You're above all this! Whatever this is... "baseless trolling"? Hey, whatever. The "mob mentality", people "boosting their egos", acting like it's a "massive betrayal"... you've got it nailed.bjork said:You can believe whatever you like, I'm not here to impress you. You want to degrade a person for wanting to retain their anonymity or whatever like it's a bad thing, then turn right around and use the internet's anonymity to spout off and say things you'd never say in person. So does about 75% of this forum. Your history of interaction with me is nothing but a bunch of baseless trolling, your opinion doesn't matter to me anyway.
I don't believe I'm virtuous or anything of the sort, but I'm also not a fan of mob mentality unless it's for good reason. This isn't a good reason, so I don't see the point. This Mint person will probably never meet any of you, and if you never saw another Mint post, your life would go unchanged.
So how it matters that this person threw up a facade and people act like it's some massive betrayal or something, I don't understand. That's all. Call me whatever, go make threads on OA or whatever, it doesn't matter to me.

I agree with these posts.xsarien said:If Mint wanted to retain his/her anonymity, then pictures wouldn't have been posted at all. This is patently claiming to be someone they're not, which is a COMPLETELY different beast.
