Sir!
I took it to mean less work as in not needing to keep watching through most of the season for it to become 'good' given the structure with the cast difficulties.
I liked season 4, even if it was the weakest season.
Oh wow, copy bump
I think it means, less work for the viewer. Season 4 had so many concurrent storylines but you only got one character POV that you had to re-watch it several times to actually 'get' the bigger picture.
The re-cut version is more akin to the previous seasons, each episode having multiple POVs.
The structure of the Netflix series was very convoluted and not that easy to follow, this recut version should make it more easily digestible.
Thanks, guys. Makes a ton of sense.
Any word on if the recut version will also find its way to Netflix? I have, shamefully, never seen it. I loved Arrested Development (except for the Mr. F arc) but I keep hearing bad things about it.
