Look at the reflection in Chipper's helmet, wow.Windu said:
The outfield wall is wrong in the game, neither the Mets nor the Yankees would give them plans for the new stadiums. The devs had to guess and look at mock-ups to make the stadiums.templeusox said:Notice the brown ivy in the Wrigley field pic.
And the Mets' choice for outfield wall padding in Citi Field is...interesting.

And yes, plans are already underway to bring Pitching and Fielding training to 2010.
That is what's so amazing about it. What you say is true, and that in itself is hard to believe after looking at these incredible pics. I would go as far as to say it's the best playing baseball ever and near the very very top of best playing sports game ever. The only other one that comes close recently is NHL 09.TheMissingLink said:And the best part of the MLB The Show series? It plays as well, IF NOT BETTER, than it looks.
Thats's some Gran Turismo 5 shit right there.Windu said:
someone on PSBlog said:I wish you guys could incorporate a control scheme which maps the hitting (and possibly pitching controls) to the right stick.
After playing games like Skate, Tiger Woods and NHL 09 brilliantly incorporate RS controls, i feel a baseball game could do the same easily.
game looks great otherwise though

Stay tuned BigPoppaB stay tuned.
It appears that the PS3 demo for MLB 09 The Show is expected to be out tomorrow February 5th. Generally PSN updates at around 3pm PT. Im still waiting on confirmation from SCEA but this does match-up with previous info that has been provided in terms of when it would arrive. The demo is four innings long and features a rematch of the World Series with the Tampa Bay Rays at the Philadelphia Phillies. As mentioned in my community preview write-ups the demo is based on a build several weeks prior to the one we played but it should be a fair representation of what to expect with the final product.
Ill try to get up a few videos of the demo in the evening and point out some things that may have been fixed or improved upon in the near final build that I played last week vs what the demo offers.

It's weird, in times like these where Amercian Football and Basketball games have fallen to such all time lows, other sports games step up and make it some of the best times to be a sports game ever (MLB: The Show, NHL 09 and FIFA 09 are all masterpieces imo).

And old? Demo possibly out tomorrow.
