This guy on the line right now, complaining about the fans at Yankee stadium, has to be fucking around/joking. Surprised Fatty hasn't cut him off.

"I invite you to sit with Mike."

he's stupid. i can't believe francessa just said he's for selling no alcohol. unbelievable. :lol

The NCAA tournament does it, doesn't seem to hurt it.

Mad Dog is starting now, btw.

Vegas had the Giants at 20:1 back in April to win it all. I wonder if anyone made a pile of dough.

You would have to think you would have still gotten good odds once they clinched a playoff spot, too.

The Rangers would have won if Hamilton didn't relapse last year. God punished him for that. And by God, I mean Lincecum.

Also 2011 is Chien Ming Wang's comeback season. YOU'LL SEE.

You think your due??? have we all forgotten the Cubs??? yeah thats what i thought...the dang giants moved from one coast to another, started an all new drought and still won one before the cubs...
I actually did forget the Cubs when I was writing the OP. Seriously, I was counting off the NL Central teams on my fingers, got to five, but that sixth team just wasn't coming to mind.

This, except:

- Girardi's back (FUCK YEAH)
- DFA Cervelli, bring up Romine, sign a Molina to teach him along with Posada
- Burnett can't be DFAed; get a top-flight pitching coach who will break down and rebuild his motion (and force him to throw a third pitch).
- Nunez needs more seasoning before he can take over for Jeter.
- Jeter to third, A-Rod to DH, Nunez to SS

Then we sign Lee, destroy the majors and avenge the AL.

[EDIT: I'm surprised Nick Swisher isn't on that RF list, even just for one vote. He was a pretty good fielder in RF - and the Yankee OF as a whole was very good defensively!]

Burnett is a lost cause dude.

Can you imagine if you saw this picture at the beginning of the season back in March? I think most people would get their sanity checked.

Second lowest ratings ever for World Series.

haha, the Reds and Twins series could have only been one spot worse.

Everyone wanted to see Bobby Cox try to win it all one last time and the nasty, rich Yankees try to ruin his perfect send-off.

I would have watched that.

Lets face it: yankees in, ratings win. yankees out, ain't got no clout. or something like that.

Just for one day I would like to hear Cowherd not talk about ratings. Just once...

3 ESPN games a week.
1 Fox game a week.
1 TBS game a week.

not too surprising I guess. And most of those games are Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies, Mets, Cubs, Dodgers.

That doesn't help the ratings.

For people going to the Giants victory parade tomorrow, how early are you guys going there? My friends want to get on the first Bart train at 4:45 AM in the morning because they've heard people will be there as early as 3 AM...holy fuck I dont know if I can survive waiting that long

Yeah this game. These were the best seats I have ever had at a game. About 8-10 rows back behind the dish on the third base line. I could have made that call from my seat no sweat, still don't know how Cuzzi missed it. It was a fantastic game though. Giants gave us a lot of great memories this year.

So, who should the Giants bring back? Renteria if he chooses to keep playing? Ross? Huff? Burrell? Uribe? Guillen (hell no)? Will DeRosa play next year? Panda going to lose the 30 pounds that he needs to lose to not be a defensive liability? Will he get his stroke back? They have a lot of questions in their lineup that need to be addressed.

I for one would love to see Huff sign a decent sized 2 year contract. Get Burrell back for another year. Renteria would probably make a great coach somewhere on the staff if he chooses to retire. I wouldn't mind seeing him get another year contract though. Of course bring back Ross the Boss for 2 or 3 years. I love all these guys but they are all getting a bit long in the tooth, hard to offer any of them more than a year or two. Uribe needs to come back for a year as well though I think he will probably get some decent offers from around the league because of how clutch he is, plus his great power as a shortstop. It is going to be an interesting offseason for the Giants and Brian Sabean.

I made a half-assed attempt to buy a SF Chronicle this afternoon with no luck.
Amazon has both the WS 2010 collectors set (DVD only) and the single disc WS set (BR/DVD combo or DVD only) up for preorder. The collectors set will have all the games in their entirety plus a bonus disc, the single disc one is more of a highlight collection from throughout the year through the end.

Driving with my bro and his friends to a house near Bart tonight and leaving tomorrow morning. So SF Parade here I come :D

Already seeing a bunch of bros sporting their new flat billed new era caps of SF.

I'm in metro Detroit.

Yankees, and Giants hats are definitely the most popular in Toronto next to the Jays. And it's been that way for as long as I can remember.
