Let's keep this going guys.

Mets reduce ticket prices for 2011 by more than 14%.

"There's already a new energy, and I think a new feeling of hopefulness among Mets fans with Sandy," Howard said. "There's going to be a new approach and there are going to be changes there, and the changes are all going to be geared toward, as Sandy said, increasing the probability of success. I hope that probability rises dramatically, because it is a very, very important factor with our overall business. It is what Mets fans want, and we're confident that Sandy and his staff will deliver that."

Cool shit. I remember Logan Morrison said he'd use the 06010 theme song as his walkup music if he got to 10k, so I'm doing my part.

Clifton Phifer Lee bought cowboy boots. Bottle your bitter tears and send them to Cashman, Yankee fans.

Errr, that's Neogaf poster cashman.

Brian Cashman would work too.

The Rangers have declined Vladimir Guerrero's $9 million 2011 mutual option. However, GM Jon Daniels says re-signing Guerrero is a "priority".

Don't know if already posted:
Los Angeles – The Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA) announces its second set of 2010 season award selections, naming its Manager of the Year and Executive of the Year awards.

The National League Manager of the Year award was won by Bud Black, of the San Diego Padres, with the American League Manager of the Year award going to Ron Gardenhire, of the Minnesota Twins.

The NL Executive of the Year award winner is Walt Jocketty, of the Cincinnati Reds, with Jon Daniels, of the Texas Rangers, being selected the AL Executive of the Year.

Previously announced selections include the following:

NL Comeback Player of the Year – Tim Hudson, Atlanta Braves.

AL Comeback Player of the Year – Vladimir Guerrero, Texas Rangers.

NL Hoyt Wilhelm Relief Pitcher of the Year – Brian Wilson, San Francisco Giants.

AL Rollie Fingers Relief Pitcher of the Year – Rafael Soriano, Tampa Bay Rays.

Voting took place between September 15 and October 3, the final day of the regular season. Additional selections will be announced in the coming days.

Probably only if they can get him for cheap.

Sorry if this was a bit off-topic, but did any TV station air the San Francisco parade today? If so, is there any chance of it airing again? My family was able to attend in person, but work obligations prevented me from going and I would love to see it.

Thanks for the help.

Man, I really wish they'd scheduled the parade for this weekend instead of today... I could *not* get out of work today even after begging my boss (who's a huge sports fan, so he understood; too many deadlines to meet, though...).

The turnout would've been even more insane. And I don't think waiting a couple of more days would've dampened anyone's enthusiasm.

Oh well, at least I was able to celebrate right next to AT&T Park when they won the World Series... I will never forget that night...

They'll probably offer him arb. Hope he declines though.

edit: ehh, he'll probably get close to 9 mill on arb anyways. So I guess they'll just let him walk.

They should move Young to DH and sign a good defensive 3rd baseman.
I hope they take a serious look at Beltre.

If there's a replay, it'll likely be on CSN Bay Area. MLBN may decide to replay it as well.

Ryne Sandberg turned down an offer to return as the manager for the AAA team and informed them he was leaving the organization. Sandberg said he was extremely disappointed he didn't get the job as the Cubs manager. He wants to manage in the big leagues in 2011.

True Fans (TM) will be in for Canada Day and the return of Harry Leroy Halladay.

That awards schedule is ridiculously overdrawn. Just have a 3-hour televised ceremony on ESPN and get them all out of the way.

Combination of something I just posted on Twitter and someone's reply:

Roger Clemens, 1st 4 yrs: 141 ERA+, 3.21 K/BB, roids.
Doc Gooden, 1st 4 yrs: 146 ERA+, 3.24 K/BB, coke.
Tim Lincecum, 1st 4 yrs: 142 ERA+, 3.10 K/BB, weed.

M's need to get in the Prince Fielder sweep stakes. Worse comes to worse they can just flip him at the deadline like Lee last season. (Oh my god the Mariners are turning into the A's)

How the hell are we going to pull that off? Who do we have in our system outside of Ackley and Pineda that the Brewers would want? Poythress?

I don't think I can go in July, it will probably have to be in April or May. I guess I will just have to watch them beat up on the Stros.

Sad I couldnt see that. Catch a replay of it sometime. I was right around when the parade turned onto Market St. At one point getting it was literally a mosh pit where I had no control of my movement by those pushing behind trying to find a spot :lol

Went to AT&T Park after, got some stuff and chilled for awhile. Saw alot of players entering/exiting the park after the parade. That was pretty awesome since only a few hundred people were there so you could see the players up close.

Also Bart in the morning was a madhouse :lol

Only a small part (like 10% of the line) at 7am of one of many Bart locations :lol

So it's going to be either Clint Hurdle or Jeff Banister for Pirates manager. Should i be pissed? sad ? apathetic ?

Hurdle took a team everyone predicted to finish last in the NL West to the World Series in 2007.

Sausage is close second. Turkey Bacon is delicious and nutritious, but let's be honest. It's not bacon. Meat lovers omelet? Meatsdontclash!
