MLB 2015 Regular Season |OT| Pickin' Up the Pace of Play

For some reason I see the Cardinals going after a Josh Reddick/Clippard/Kazmir package from the A's. Not sure they need another SP just in case, but Reddick and Clippard make a lot of sense.

Kazmir, Clippard and Zobrist are the more likely available guys. Don't see Reddick being moved since he's still arbitration eligible for '16. Also not sure Beane thinks he's out of this one yet.

Moving Reddick would take at least one of STL's top 5 position prospects in return, and there's not a lot there to like. Piscotty maybe. Or perhaps a couple lower level guys. Just doesn't make sense from either side.

But Clippard/Kazmir for 3-5 mid-tier prospects? Possible. But yeah, only if Beane thinks he's out of it.

For all of Oakland's bullpen and fielding problems, its starting rotation ranks among the (if not the actual) best in the game.

Still think Beane is going to sit on his guys and unleash a trading flurry at the deadline if his bullpen and defense can't get it together.

Who do people have for their teams? It's literally impossible for me to predict the Mets slot since we're picking at #50. Hearing rumors all over the place, maybe Chandler Day, maybe Triston McKenzie?

I'm holding out hope Nix falls to us but other than that it's a crapshoot.

So about that American League All-Star team....

Will Emperor Manfred end fan voting for future All-Star Games?

Like the NHL All-Star game this past year. The player that received the most fan votes was this Latvian kid who basically the entire country of Latvia voted for. And everyone else voted in was a Chicago Blackhawk.

Ain't you glad we signed Cuddyer?

I'd be happy if any of those players fall to the Yankees.

Morales over Nelson Cruz? Cain over Trout? Royals fans pls staph.

Windu

never heard about the cat, apparently
A lot of places have Cornelius Randolph going to the braves at 14. Big Guy, compact swing. I like.

I'm pretty sure the White Sox take another college arm. And why not? They enjoyed good success with them in the past. So I hope Jay, Fulmer or Tate are available at #8.
I don't love Fulmer's stuff. He has trouble maintaining it through the game and I don't love his delivery.

But if you can trust one thing in this organization (and there aren't many) it's their evaluation of pitchers and their risk of injury.

Edit: I kind of want to see that Royals All Star Game

at the very least Kolby Allard won't be picked 8th. There isn't any chance that the white sox take a high school player first round.

The white sox are indeed looking for college arms in the first round, the only way they don't take a college arm is because somehow someone like Dansby Swanson falls to 8th, beyond that they will take one. They have not only been said to be looking at college arms, but also have basically said they would never again waste a top pick on a high school player. To much time for things to change, to long of a wait to get them into the majors, they would rather take a player with a lower potential that is farther along and more of a sure thing.

The White Sox philosophy has changed somewhat, they are more about ceiling. Hawkins was a HS draftee and Anderson and Walker(who doesn't seem to amount to anything) were JuCo players. Thankfully the days of drafting stiffs like Lance Broadway are over, even if it doesn't pan out. This isn't the year, but when a really highly touted HS player falls to them, they'll take him.
