With the Jays luck it'll be Hutchison's turn in the rotation

It's not that difficult to tweak the rotation a month out and squeeze a couple guys in on 4 days to both time a possible WC game and not screw up the last week of games leading up to it.

it's not so much that as the difference in value between a mid-rotation guy (over our non-existent 5th starter atm) and an ace would be diminishing. and there's still no guarantee since the other 4 guys in the rotation are unreliable at best... except Buehrle but he's due to regress.

but the difference in cost between a #3 rental and a #1 rental is massive

i'd happily give up a fuckton if we could re-sign Price or if there was control for another year

He is off the books, lot of people are for the Jays anyway. For the GM he is realistically looking at doing something now. Next year has a ton of questions.
