I don't have all the sweet gif skills, so this will be my go to for the year.

Two more games in Houston is going to be great. Very evenly matched teams with a lot of similarities between them.

oh wait record, nevermind

the white sox shouldn't be at 7.... they really should have won the division a few years back where they had like a 10 game lead going into august and then fell apart >.<; something like lead 138 days of the season and then missed it by like 2 or something.

either way since they are winning the world series this year obviously the playoff drought will end :p

Red Sox rotation ERA: 7.32

In the age of people flipping out about pace of play, we might as well just skip the opposing team's at-bats. Just spot them 7 runs and then see if the Sox can bat more in over 9 half-innings.

Like Steve Simmons, who seems to believe Mark Shapiro is actively trying to ruin the club. Which is annoying, because if there is a deserving target for this fan ire, it's the owners.

Fuck Simmons, that little attention whore.

But honestly, blame should be placed on both sides. But yeah, Rogers certainly has the lion's share.

8 games and 4.9% into the season, with a 3-5 record, Jays fans ready to throw in the towel and fire everyone and are looking for someone to blame.

Holy. Shit.

Shake yourselves, Toronto.

Imagine that the Jays are baseball's version of the Ducks this year.

Licking my chops at the thought of Betances-Chapman-Miller in a month.
3 closers and Shreve a lefty specialist. Lock down bullpen.

Teams want to expand rosters so they can carry an extra bullpen arm. That's the preferred strategy now. Have starters that can go 5 or 6 and then let the bullpen specialists do the rest.

Blame to Shapiro? He's not really done anything wrong yet. Or really done anything other than not sign Price and hire some of his former colleagues out of Cleveland.

I mean, the one area where you could say Shapiro (and Atkins) did something risky - not pursuing Price and betting on the rotation + Happ - seems to have been the one thing that has gone right thus far. A week and a half into the season yes, but it's working at least.

I have been dreading this since the beginning of the season. And it's only going to get worse as we get into June and July.

That would be nice.. But if this keeps up they might end up like the Calgary Flames(good playoff run last year, awful season this year)

The Jays are still the team to beat in the AL East. Baltimore is not staying undefeated forever, and will still end up in last place. 2 games back of the Yankees and it's the end of the world?

You really think that lineup is going to hold a .636 OPS all season, and be no better tthan the Indians or Twins, and only 40 points better than the Braves?

So even with Tulo hitting .107, Martin .083, Colabello .067, Pillar .219 and Saunders .227 the team is 3-4.

You don't think these guys aren't going to start hitting better? Or that Edwin will not start hitting some home runs or Goins won't slug higher than .292?

Donaldson and Bautista have almost single handedly put this team one game under .500. As soon as the other guys start hitting, you're going to be back in first place.

Small sample size. Relax. The pitching's been there, the fielding a little shaky but nothing to freak out about. It's just the lineup. And the math says that this is going to come sooner rather than later.

I stand by that MLB Central is the best sports morning show... but going from that to Russo is always disappointing... I wish when MLBN showed day games they just skip Russo's show instead of cutting short MLB Central

I gotta start watching this at work lol.
