So the O's and Jays are 1.5 games up on Detroit right now. With today's DET-CLE game being postponed, it makes DET's prospects of making the Playoffs a bit harder.

I had always wondered how a replay would go on a walk off play against the walk off team. Now I know, by the umps getting the hell out of dodge. Anywho, GO CARDS!

That's clearly going to be a rule change. Also, St. Louis needs to put a yellow line out to indicate what's in and out of play in left field.

Does someone mind explaining what happened in the Reds/Cards game?

Bottom of the 9th, runner on first. Molina hits a double, runner scores to win the game. But it looks like it was a ground rule double. Reds were going to challenge but the umps were already off the field.

MLB's come out with another statement to cover their asses over that shit. Embarrassing. If you can't get it right the first time, you screwed up.

yeah don't post it or anything, just comment on it and make us look for it.

<_<

Their first statement was they have 10 seconds to say they may want to challenge, then another 20 seconds to do so or not

The second statement was 'no, that's wrong, they have to challenge immediately.'

The umpires at the game were going by the 10/30 rule, not the second one. This just shows you that MLB doesn't even know their own damn rules

There's too many damn rules.

I saw Paul Molitor debate a challenge for easily 40 seconds last night and it was infuriating. He ended up not challenging, so even worse.

Then I remembered he manages the Twins and felt sorry for them. They're doing their best impression of the 2004-2007 Royals.

There's too many damn rules.

Also, Busch Stadium doesn't have a clear yellow line in left field while facing the front wall. There's one at the top of it, but not from the player's vantage point, so he couldn't have known what was in-play and not. That needs to be fixed.

Now every game-winning play should be challenged. Fuck the happy good time feels of a walk-off. We gotta challenge it.

'That ball was launched into the Hudson? Don't care, Challenging it.'

Josh Collmenter has been really good for the Braves since they picked him up. Between him and Ian Krol, Roger McDowell has the voodoo working big time.
