Felix -3.5 WAR this year or something. Imma blame him

He's at 1.0 war for fangraphs and 1.8 war for baseball reference. We got multiple position players with negative war including two who basically play every day (Marte and Lind), Felix who's merely an average pitcher this year who's missed quite a bit of time ain't to blame.

Unless he can bounce back next year, we could definitely use another strong starter. Most important improvements are SS though, as well as a good situation at 1B and a competent outfield.

Rumor mill says they'll probably go after Cozart again in the offseason. Let's see what other moves Jerry Dipoto makes.

Want to say thank you to the Astros for making it interesting. All year we had nothing but a mess. Gomez was problem number one. Injuries being number two.

We are still a year early, next year is when we were predicted to breakout. I'll be excited to see what moves come in December and January.

Whatever they do, is more than likely going to be through trades. They have a bunch of AAAA guys they can unload, who have no real shot at making the 25 man roster at this point.

The infield is pretty much set up with Bregman/Correa/Altuve and possibly Gurriel, who might play first over AJ Reed until (if) he gets it together.
Outfield they'll probably need to grab someone. Rasmus is probably gone for sure. Leaving Springer/Teoscar/Marisnick (who at this point is more of a 4th OF).

They definitely need at least one SP, Keuchel not having a great year and him getting injured hurt. Same with LMJ. Doc McHugh was good. Fister started out fine, but the regression monster hit him so fucking hard. One of Joe Musgrove or possibly Brady Rodgers might be a #4-5.

It'll be an interesting Winter for sure.

Well with last night's loss you can pretty much put a wrap on the Dodgers' chances for home-field against the Nats. Just get everybody out healthy for the end of the regular season and they're off to DC.

Sorry, I was meaning off his average from the past 8 or 9 years, not a negative WAR.

edit: and Arod of Fox? Muted+Radio was the plan anyways, guess it's going to be for everything instead of just when Joe Buck was involved.

I guess... but that's the date for the Wild Card Game, so maybe both WC games happen on Wednesday now?

Look at what happens if there is five way tie:

So, yes, there’s a minuscule chance that we could find ourselves in a couple days with a five-way tie. But the MLB rule on this is fantastic, since it operates quite differently from a four-way tie:

One representative from each team would fly to the MLB Commissioner’s Office in New York to draw straws. The team with the short straw would be automatically eliminated.
The other four representatives would then be sorted into two pairs of two based on the tiebreaking rules as described above. We would then have a “super-game,” where the Team-Pairs combine forces to create the best 25-man roster possible among their two 40-man rosters and then take each other on. This game would be hosted at the home stadium of the team not participating, so as to compensate them for missing the playoff (they get to keep all the gate receipts, minus travel costs for the two team-pairs).
The winning Team-Pair would then split back into their own teams and play each other for the second wild card spot, with the game hosted at the stadium of the fifth team (again, further monetary compensation for the team missing the playoff).

MADNESS
