The Atlanta Braves are working on the latest new attraction for SunTrust Park — a Zip Line.

During Atlanta Business Chronicle and Atlanta Sports Council’s annual Business of Sports Summit on Friday, Derek Schiller, Braves’ executive vice president of sales and marketing, said the Zip Line is part of an attempt to enhance the fan experience at the new ballpark.

This amenity is part of many geared toward parents and their children.

“We are very family friendly, and that is a significant portion of our audience,” Schiller said.
“Well over 50 percent of our fans are families that come with their child to a game,” he added.

For now, the Braves are releasing few details about the attraction, but the Zip Line would most likely be behind the ballpark’s video board and take people from one side of the concourse to the other.

Miller Park... home of the puke babyshit fries.

Seriously. How hard would it have been to take the chicken tenders they already sell, chop them up and toss them with some Franks and throw that on the fries?

edit: well damn, now I have to try this sometime this weekend...

There's loose murmurs going around Twitter that the Red Sox and Padres are talking about a trade to swap James Shields and Pablo Sandoval.

that only makes sense if the red sox cover every single penny of pablo's contract as otherwise I can't think of a reason you trade a decent 4th pitcher on a meh contract for a bad player on an even worse contract.

Never underestimate A.J. Preller. He took B.J. Upton's whole contract for a one year of a relief pitcher.
