I wonder if the Yanks plan on keeping Sanchez with Murphy gone.
Always wanted Sanchez as the future C.
@Buster_ESPN: Yankees believe that if Brian McCann suffered a major injury, Gary Sanchez is ready to be an everyday catcher in the big leagues.
I think it's almost impossible for Murphy to be any worse than the catchers were for the Twins last year.Seems like a good trade for both teams.
Sounds like they are keeping him.
Can't wait for him to OPS about 2.200 against the Twins for the next 5-8 years.Man I like Hicks. Damn you Yankees.
The hardest thrower in the Minor Leagues didn't hit 104 mph like he did earlier in the AFL season, but he did pop a 101-mph fastball and averaged 99.4 mph with seven heaters, including two others than registered 100 on the radar. Black often has trouble harnessing his fastball but didn't in this game, throwing five of seven for strikes in a perfect eight-pitch inning. If the Giants' No. 19 prospect can continue to find the strike zone and stay healthy, he could make an impact in San Francisco in the very near future.
Sounds like they are keeping him.
@Ken_Rosenthal: Sources: #DBacks among teams to inquire on #Yankees Miller. No names exchanged yet, but AZ has young SPs, IFers who would interest NYY.
D-backs reached out to the Yanks about Miller.
D-backs also interested in Gallardo
I like the way you think. They can have Miller/Gardner for AJ Pollock. : )
Braves have re-signed AJP and I'm OK with that.
Yes to Utley, no to Daniel Murphy.Heyman latest report says the Dodgers are interested in Daniel Murphy and maybe bring back Utley. Greinke is their first choice but Price is a close 2nd.

Sounda like the name of a Serial Killer. Perfect fit for the Twins.Who the hell is John Ryan Murphy? And why does he have three first names?

I was wondering the same thing. Why are people calling him John Ryan Murphy instead of just John Murphy?
Coming up through the system he was known as J.R. Murphy. He actually did not like that name as he was always known as John Murphy. He asked to no longer be called J.R. and so it became John Ryan Murphy.
