Hype for Meiji Jingu, Koshien best-4 participant Kanto Dai-ichi kicks things off with a bang (though Toho is no slouch and should make a fun first game). Osaka Toin and Kehi without Hiranuma will be interesting to see.

Kanto Dai-ichi lost its best player too, so it's going to be interesting seeing all the new teams coming together (or not). Rooting for Tsurgua Kehi though. Yeah, this changes the approach for sure. Wacha's fatigue, C-Mart's shoulder barking at the end of last season, and you know one of these other pitchers are going to get hurt. Getting some pitching just became a major priority.

There was also that fun issue of players who were barred from joining the MLBPA if they were hired as replacement players during thje 94-95 strike. Kevin Millar, Brendan Donnelly, and Cory Lidle never showed up in a game because of this.
