Dude, I'm suppose to be the overreactor here. The red sox played three games against one of the best teams in baseball. In the off-season we didn't have the money to go after some of the bigger free agents especially with the management turmoil and we did add some to the bullpen. People always say this but a game in April counts exactly the same as one in September. Dismissing slow starts as if they don't matter at all is just silly.

Yeah, the whole Brian Roberts thing has been just terrible all around. He had serious trade value 3-4 years ago and there were rumors that we might trade him but of course it didn't happen. Now, he's as injured as they come and we've lacked a leadoff hitter for 3 years now. For a while he was one of the few exciting players on the team.

And Jim Johnson is no Kevin Gregg, but I think he'll do just fine as a closer all year barring injury.

But, the truth is, the Marlins need every fan they can get in the ballpark or watching on tv... or any other kind of patronage. They can't afford ANYBODY boycotting the team for any reason.
