man I thought picking up Gavin Floyd for 9.5 mil was a really stupid move at the start of the season... even more so now that he is getting TJ surgery and the white sox paid 9.5 mil for 24 innings of poor work. oh well, at least he isn't the 3rd starter anymore and one of the younger pitchers who cost a fraction of what he does and who put up far more impressive numbers can take his spot.

On this date in 2009, the Royals were leading the Central by 2 games. I only remember that because the Jays started out that year well too, and there was some early season series between the two division leaders.
