That's what I figured.
Naw, they did it at Atlanta, too. And I think maybe did it in Cincinnati. At the very least, Josh Hamilton held something like this when he played for the Reds.
That's what I figured.

Mo breaking bats.
What's up with the ghosts?
@Braves said:#Braves LHP Jonny Venters underwent Tommy John surgery today to reconstruct the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.
Mo is, was, and will always be God.
Million-to-one shot. We'll probably never see that again in our lifetimes.are you kidding me?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
THE FUCKING BALL WENT THROUGH THE FENCE.
He does what Ike can't... why is it so hard for management to actually send Ike Davis to AAA Las Vegas?Nice adjustment by Duda there.
Can the 5th umpire be a sexy robot that puts people in full nelsons?ESPN: MLB plans to extend Instant Replay to fair/foul calls and trap/catch calls in 2014. Having a 5th umpire in the booth with the crew chief having access to an ear piece is also a possibility.
I have no idea. They were in Buffalo until last year, and they severed ties.I've never figured out why the Mets' AAA affiliate is halfway across the damn country...
It went from Tidewater to Norfolk to Buffalo to Las Vegas over the last 15-20 years. Teams switch affiliates pretty frequently nowadays, has to do with land/money rights/locations. Phils used to have Scranton Wilkes-Barre, now it's the Yankees.I've never figured out why the Mets' AAA affiliate is halfway across the damn country...
Right, but were the Mets really unable to find an affiliate closer than Las Vegas? It went from Tidewater to Norfolk to Buffalo to Las Vegas over the last 15-20 years. Probably paid them a fuckton of money, it is Vegas after all. However it's also a launching pad, not a great place to send pitching. Remember Josh Edgin? He's still there I thinkRight, but were the Mets really unable to find an affiliate closer than Las Vegas?
Let them pay a west coast team. The logistics are ridiculous.Probably paid them a fuckton of money, it is Vegas after all. However it's also a launching pad, not a great place to send pitching. Remember Josh Edgin? He's still there I think
Mets could use some luck. That was luck
This guy still had decent speed last year, I think he just made up his mind too late. Also, Ankiel is slow as shit!
future yankee ace David Price to the DL. Alex Torres recalled from AAA.
I can't wait until you post about Valdespin's AB.What a terrible at-bat. Good lord.
lolTHIS IS WHY YOU'RE BAD!
I see alot of speculation but no facts. Well half-facts anyway.Buffalo dumped the Mets because they wanted a winning team. They could've gone to Rochester, but the Twins got an extension so they were stuck with the Jay's old spot in the PCL I guess

Bigger reason is Buffalo is much closer to Toronto, the parent club. Hence location.
And while other rival executives take exception with Anthopoulos’ stated goal of making Triple-A Buffalo strong — “waivers, for players without options, are for major league MAJOR LEAGUE jobs,” one exec says — the Jays are in something of a unique situation.
The story begins at the end of the 2008 season, when the team lost its 30-year affiliation with the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs. The Chiefs instead went with the Nationals — in part, Anthopoulos says, because the Jays did not provide the affiliate with a winning club.
After that, the Jays had their Triple-A club in Las Vegas, an inconvenient locale because of the distance between Vegas and Toronto. This season, the Jays aligned with Buffalo, a city only about 100 miles away. But their contract with Buffalo is only for two years, and Buffalo officials — after breaking ties with the Mets — made it clear to the Jays that they want to field a winning team, Anthopoulous says.
Losing sucks. Oh well. Maybe the Reds or Pirates can actually drop a game too.Lucky Ankiel. Well, if we lose this game, so be it, the Mets are due for a win some day.

I could see him coming out for the 8th, but unless he has a super quick inning, that'll be it.Niese is pitching a CG today.
