7.5/10
Taken together, all of the improvements and new features implemented in the DS game do make it worth owning over the older and less pricy GBA game. The core gameplay may not have changed, but being able to find your way around cyberspace and more easily manage chip folders and items ultimately makes it easier to enjoy the game. After all, less time spent wandering around or futzing with menus means more time spent fighting viruses and experiencing story-related events.

I'm playing through this now. I like it ALOT better than 4, which was all fetch quests. The music is greatly improved over the GBA version, and is about the quality of Phoenix Wright's. The chip folder took me a little while to figure out, but now that I know how to use it, it's easy to use. I think Gamespot's 9.5 (When dealing with the western media, you have to add 2 points to every DS game) is fair.

Easily worth a purchase, you get 2 “scenarios”. It has a good mix of features from previous games and has a tactical twist on boss encounters which makes it pretty “fresh” and fun.
Some new DS stuff which makes things more convenient and you can use your old games with it.

Having two save files so me and my bro can play the same cartridge (FINALLY) for $40 was worth the price of admission alone. The enhanced music, slightly higher screen real estate, and (get this) a lot of the menu enhancements via dual screens and the touch interface all add to the package.

At the very least, it beats having to buy two GBA games. Of course, the voice acting is... umm... bad, but I live with it :)
