Nice Thread!

Bellator 238 was MOST GOOD! Cyborg finished Budd exactly how I thought it might end up. Da G.O.A.T! Budd is an amazing fighter and should have listened to her corner. During the fight they told her to hold off on her kicks as Cyborg was grabbing them, she didn't listen round 2. Would love to see them fight again.

dam no mcgregor match in the summer??? i thought hes supposed to fight 3 times this year

My guess is they are waiting to see what happens with Ferg/KHABIB. They could give Conor a “set-up” fight at 155, some sort of favorable matchup, in the meantime.

KHABIB/Ferg is most likely gonna be a 25 minute war IMO so I don’t think there will be a quick turnaround for whoever wins that

I like how jon jones try to pass for the religious guy when he doesn't even try to hide his psycho side most of the time...

This is another easy win for the stripper beater.

DC was spot on bemoaning (during Fight Night 167) the way that the UFC is way too liberal with what constitutes a takedown. Not to say that mat returns have no value, but it does bug me that it makes grappling chains so heavily weighted to the fighter with top position.

I mean, popping back up instantly should mean something, especially if the take-down itself wasn't especially impactful or decisive. Getting unbalanced and landing on your butt during a stand-up exchange isn't the same as eating a knockdown/knockout after all.

Was a pretty dull card. Main event was short but sweet, the rest however... meh. The Sanchez fight was a farce.

I let it sit for a day before deciding how I feel about it

I think Reyes deserves a rematch. Yes, Jan is riding a 4 fight KO streak, and a 5 fight win streak (all finishes) and he’s knocked out Jacare, Rockhold, Santos, and Anderson, pretty impressive, but how do you not give Dom Reyes a rematch? Dana himself thinks Dom won the fight.

I see Jon and his camp pushing for Jan because Jan is probably the easier matchup (mostly due to length/lack of).

I dunno.
