In the sherdog thread he says he has D1 football offers. Dude says he's been training catch and I think kickboxing since he's been 11. He could probably go into the UFC now and beat some guys with the athletic ability he has.

That kid should play tight end. He would destroy the NFL. Huge fast tight ends like Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham are raping defenses and he fits that size frame. The question is if he has the speed to go with the size.

OK that kid has great genetics. His dad was a boxer. His other brothers were just as big and played sports. One brother is a pitcher and the other works for the secret service.

The pic is from a tourney where he went to grapple against teens, but they wouldn't and none of men in the pro division would at first. After though he got to grapple with the 1st and 2nd place guys from the pro division of the tourney and had a draw with one and almost got a draw with the other before getting caught in a choke because got too aggressive with a take down.

If I was a father I would buy a shotgun and have him sit a good distance away when having to talk with him.

I honestly feel a bit bad how he's the only fighter getting shit for something like that, now he had to do(yeah right) all sorts of things to earn his way back. Dana fucked up this Torres thing since far worse things have been said without any punishment. He was the cheapest guy to use as an example and now had to play ball to get his job back. He should've just fined all of these rape/pedo jokers, would have been far more professional.

Thing is though that this was never an MMA event. It is a fight event with MMA, kickboxing and pro-wrestling bouts all on the same card. Seeing some peoples reactions to this on MMA forums is so funny. Pro-wrestling and MMA will always be intertwined together in japan. Not sure why MMA fans in the west can't accept this and bitch like hell about it.

Pro-wrestling will always be part of the fight industry in japan!!

I think they finally get it. Paint the picture and tell the average fan why they should care. The little blurbs from Goldie between fights mean nothing.

If they keep it very brief I'm ok with that. But the problem with it is the fact that the UFC is a fast paced, evolving thing. They could have a story about someone and make you care who they are but that fighter could very easily be cut two fights later. Not only that but the 'build up' to 'fight' ratio can't get too out of whack our people won't care anymore - ie if the Dos Santos vs Cain thing keeps happening. Nobody is gonna put up with 15 minutes of back story intercut with commercials for what could potentially be a 1 minute fight.

Is this show in a small little arena? I seem to remember past shows in big ass domes. This looks like a high school gym in comparison from what I can tell by the arena.
