You know, these guys want to talk about God. 'Oh, I want to thank God. I want to thank God.' Listen, I'm a God-fearing man, go to church every Sunday and have since I was a boy. But if I ever found out that God cared one way or another about a borderline illegal fist-fight on Saturday night, I would be so greatly disappointed that it would make rethink my entire belief system.
Joe Rogan, who does commentary for televised UFC events, recently referred to an MMA blogger as a part of the female anatomy
Chael is the goddamn Batman. Thats all.Chael:
I love Chael for the things he says. It's either boiling hot truth or delicious trolling.Chael:
LOL Cullinary Union going hard after the UFC. Someone on Sherdog pasted this letter he got from them:
OMG DANA SAID THE F WORD AND THE S WORD! Hilarious how they worded it LOL. Also, Rampage, LOL.
Ya, it's so blatantly about not getting paid. Even if you don't know the back story, it's gotta seem so weird that something called the Culinary Union gives a shit about how UFC people present themselves to the public.Culinary workers are mae because the Fertittas run a non-union casino. That's why they are for the MMA ban in NYC.
So either Mo and his manager are lying their asses off or they are some of the dumbest motherfuckers on earth. Dude just walked in a store and asked for something that gives him results and did no checking.

Hmm, interesting. They should publicize that then. I'd sympathize with them for that. The anti-UFC campaign just makes them look stupid.Uh...not really just about getting paid. That National Labor Relations Board ruled against them for violating worker's lawful rights.

Workers haven't had a wage increase in 5 years.
Station Casino raised insurance costs without explanation.
Stopped contributing towards 401(k)
Allowed inside investors to transfer over half a billion dollars out of the casino.
Allegation of union busting.
But honestly, the NLRB ruling is pretty bad on its own. No wage increases in 5 years? Dang.

That Chael quote is absolutely gold.
Given the economy since 2008, and the hit it had on casinos, this isn't necessary unfair.

Chael:
I think I would like Chael if his fight style wasn't so boring and lame. He's basically a roided up version of Jon Fitch.
Well, the problem is letting people take money out of the casino. If you are in bankruptcy, and you can't pay your workers an cost of living increase, that is understandable. But not when you let people take over half a billion dollars out of your coffers.
Chael's more exciting to watch than Fitch cuz he might get subbed.I think I would like Chael if his fight style wasn't so boring and lame. He's basically a roided up version of Jon Fitch.
His demolishing of Brian Stann was one of the best uses of wrestling and ground work I have seen thus far.
It was also the first time he finished someone in 13 WEC and UFC fights. If he did more of that, then yeah.

And yeah, about this. I have no doubt the Fertita brothers aren't exactly the most up and up people. That old story about how he came to acquire the UFC in the first place by voting against ti being legalized in Nevada can attest to that. No one really knows how rocky the businesses they have are though either. I know Zuffa has a nice chunk of debt trying to get this shit off the ground and they took losses for years before finally getting in the black. They gotta pay the piper sometime for all that money they've borrowed, so all the wage talk seems a little weird when it's not accounting how much debt and loss they took from the start.
The wage thing I'm ok with. Emerging from bankruptcy and the economy being the way it is. Whatevers.
Blatant union busting, which is what the NLRB ruled on. That's bad. Initimidation of workers who want to organize. Heavy handed.
Agreed. Not supporting everything they do, just the talk about the UFC and MMA being in big money now though seems ridiculous. Everything is not as it seems. It is funny though Lorenzo trying to play moral/ethic police on SOPA though and expecting sympathy when he's anything but.
But it was against Brian Stann. The same guy who got worked by So-Shin-Ski in no time flat on the ground.
Anyone else picking Mr Wonderful? Interesting how over 90% are picking Dunham over The Ring Lentz. On paper I didn't think it looked like a clear pick.
Chael:
The thing with picking underdogs on the main card is, what do you boost? I think Oliveira is solid. Lavar Johnson is coming off two losses on Strikeforce, but most of his losses were by subs and Mexitran isn't a sub guy. I guess I will boost those two, but Mexitran by decision.I'm going in full upset mode this show, maybe some will catch up on me. Davis and Bisping are getting picked for me, because I can't stand the guys they're fighting. I'll be damned too if Rashad ruins my special night.
I thought I'd let you guys know that I have heard from 3 different guys who have trained at Death Clutch that (Cole) Konrad is considerably better than Brock Lesnar in every single area of MMA. And that he has way with Lesnar whether grappling or striking.
It might not have shown completely in his fights yet, but that's a scary notion if true considering how short a time he's been training.
Chael:
I will continue to pick main event underdogs until lightning strikes.
On deck: Mr. Wonderful, Conduit and Bendo.
I have a hard time believing all 3 of these guys will lose.
Shocking revelation from Sean McCorkle:

Fedor might be fighting Bobby Lashley.
Where does the winner of the Pro Elite hw grand prix fit in? Odoms was fantastic, how he looked completely gassed from the first minute but still somehow pulled out a sub when the other guy gassed even more. And I bet Minowaman is hungry after that close decision loss.Seems like a logical match up while he waits to fight the winner of the Thompson/Sapp super fight. I say this assuming Christian Morecraft isn't available, of course.
