Finally got to play around with a Wii U controller. The whole thing is a lot sturdier, nice sticks and buttons, than I expected, but I don't think I'd want any part of playing a 3rd or 1st person action game with it. Having your hands that far apart feels awkward.
It felt great with the Rayman demo and I imagine NSMBU feels similar. I think it'll have more versatility than the Wiimote did.

GTA 4 was my biggest disappointment this gen due to this and horrible design choices.
it was bloody gorgeous looking game world but hated how it played..hated the autoaim..hated the sticky cover shit, hated the lack of checkpoints..
hated the shitty cousin activities..ect ect.
I hope they go back to being a fun game for 5 with snappy controls

Good book. For someone with no scientific background Bryson did an excellent job of both being very comprehensive and weaving information together to make a proper perspective, like you said, not just disjointed lists of topics and facts.
On the topic of Ultimate Fighting, it seems like every new story has me yelling "for fuck's sake" upon reading it. Are there any changes to the booking system we should be yelling out for or is playing the injury prediction game going to be half the fun from now on?

lol, I just checked this. The last 3 times that the coaches actually fought each other were Bisping/Miller, GSP/Koscheck and Rampage/Rashad. Maybe it's for the best.

Damn I was pumped to see Maynard fight after his inspired performance against Guida. Miller is a great replacement though
Genuinely my fight of the year for 2012. Right down to the locker room exchange and post-presser. It defines the power struggle between old school and new school MMA perfectly.
