Other Balance Changes
Decreased effectiveness of Lazer Blazer Turrets vs players.

The demo for this game really surprised me, it was quite fun but I haven't got the full version yet.. this kind of support is pulling me in though.

Are there female avatars or just men as usual?

Gunner's minigun losing damage over range more then it does currently is most welcome, that minigun was too good at all ranges especially as it halfs your movement speed when hit by just one bullet.

I think every change there is a positive, so awesome.

If you only played the demo weeks back try it again now, the free time was raised from 30 minutes to 60 so you may have another 30 minutes to play again.

The game is amazing, well worth buying at £10/$15

Steel Peel Arena
Added glass walls to break some long lines of sight.
Moved turrets in each base.
Thank GOD. The sightlines on that map were a total nightmare and invalidated all but one turret emplacement, snipers could just sit back at their spawn and control the map with impunity.

the only female class is assassin

Today was the final straw for me when it comes to players juice rushing your ball in overtime, it's such a lame and broken mechanic that it ruins so much of the game, why play the first 15 minutes fighting hard to get half the enemies ball down to only get rushed by a juiced assassin in overtime and lose in 10 seconds.

Maybe I am just pissed off at losing every match I had tonight by juicers but there is no valid reason for it.

This is so annoying. Even though they reduced the amount of damage the money ball takes from players in the latest patch, juice rushing is still an almost sure win.

My second gripe with the game is the fact that towers are not nearly good enough. It is ridiculous how players with juice can annihilate several towers in a base in one rush. Even when upgraded to level three, and with hacks from supports, the towers get owned in no time.

It isn't rocket science to figure out, that the amount of gold lost on towers doesn't correlate to the amount of gold spent on a juice vending machine. So unbalanced. Nerfing the effectiveness of juice when attacking structures, including the money ball, would fix a lot of things...

Great game. Haven't played it for awhile though, but it's still great. Hopefully more people will pick it up tomorrow.

There was one thing that I fucking hate about this game. No indicator for the latency. I hate when they do that. Especially when you don't get to choose which game you want to join. I hope they fixed this, but it wasn't on the list. :(

Is it ok to port-beg for this one yet :(
I was port-begging Uber Entertainment on Twitter the day it released. This game is the only reason I turn on my 360 besides the occasional game of Halo Reach.

Will get this once the Indie Uprising is finished and I know how many points I have left.

Expensive month with all the sales too...

This game is completely broken, can't imagine how infuriating it would be to new adopters at this point. The new arena seems to work quite well with towers having decent protection, or more likely, less experience in the player pool. Someone send me a PM if they ever decide to remove Juice.

Broken in what way? the complaint about juice rushes was heard and now there is a timer on buying juice, damage to the ball is again dropped so that's 2 nurfs it's had now, still strong but much more manageable imo.

New update is sweet, the spunky cola map is well made for quick battles and I can see it working well for 3 on 3 without a dull moment, some parts of the map feel empty and useless right now but once people stop rushing the choke points all the time it will balance out, hopefully.

I started playing tank again, he feels weaker now but then he was a huge powerhouse, still is.

Also, Uber now have a store where you can buy those 12" figures, tee's and some other misc stuff, not much but it all looks sweet.

I just feel the balance between offense and defense being completely off. Turrets are super fragile and almost every placement is open to cross map sniping, which almost any class can do. Juicing is just a really shitty mechanic that adds complete randomness to a pretty well tuned game, and even if you can't buy it you can earn it every other minute. Especially with a custom class, which is also random. Add in some random pickups and a dodgy matchmaking experience and it's hard to get a decent game going.

Also, as far as I've noticed since the update 9/10 games still go to overtime and then randomly gets decided. Unless maybe you'll be placed in a match with uneven teams, which happens all the time.

Or maybe it's just not for me, I had a great time in the early days of the game but can't stand it anymore. Maybe some of it has to do with the Support class which is the only thing I've been playing since the update. Not sure I have the patience to try some other things out.

I can understand all that as I was once bitching about it all, but the game feels so much better now then it use to, juicing is less of a problem though the assassins can go 3 hit turrets while juiced, something about that needs to be toned down.

Rocket turrets are now stronger in both attack and armour, cheaper too so they feel useful now.

The problem is that half the time your team just goes for kills instead of escorting bots or killing the enemy robots, that's the worst problem for me.

Oh and I love the new announcer speeches, you get one now for host migration :lol "this host migration was bought to you by ammo mule!" after the game resumes, I laughed hard as I was just not expecting it.

Anyone have any recommended builds? I haven't played in ages and all my classes were geared towards getting juice faster it seems. :lol

Also, the game needs some better matchmaking for Blitz. I just want to play, I don't care what playlist I'm in.

Just tried out the demo, this game is surprisingly good! I didn't expect the shooting to feel as good as it does. This game is yet more proof UE3 can easily do a variety of graphical styles.

Also, it's currently on sale for 600 points on XBLM today only.

I'm super surprised this game is coming to Steam considering it's published by Microsoft. Considering Microsoft's direct competitor in the PC space is Steam, why release it on Steam and not GFWL?

This game isn't working for me, MP anyways :(

It was working earlier, but now it's telling me I don't have some DLC, so i can't connect to any servers.

So trying to log onto a multiplayer server has resulted in either not having the same DLC as the server(how?) or it someone filling up 2 seconds after trying to join an empty server. Off to a great start.

This might teach me a lesson in buying games just for TF2 stuff.

Pretty much all the servers are old beta servers that haven't updated to the actual game yet. That's why you get that message. Ugh.

There still seems to be a lot of legitimate bugs in the PC version. I tried playing LAN games here with friends, and when someone hosts the game, about 5 seconds after the game starts, the person who is hosting the game exits; their client just goes to the title screen, disconnecting everyone.

Saw a reference to this happening on the Steam forums too, so it's not just us.

Its a good game! I got it last night, and I've enjoyed the small amount of time I've put into it. Give it a chance.

Server browser is a cluster fuck. Ran into some ATI black texture corruption. The texture streaming at spawn is a joke (seriously, everytime?).

I'll wait a bit to see how this pans out. Interesting game, but very hard to get a game going at the moment.

Okay, maybe I'm missing something incredibly stupid here, but on the PC version I can't join any servers. Found a few good looking ones with open slots and low ping, but I can't actually select any server at all to join. Clicking on it highlights it, but the highlight doesn't stick, and hitting join doesn't do anything. What gives?
