Monitoring the situation in Iran

Across history, pressures created by political or legal bullshit have affected groups at every level of society. At different times, workers, minorities, religious communities, regional populations, and yes even filthy rich mutha fuckas have experienced periods where their rights, security, or influence were constrained by institutions or power structures. While the nature and consequences of pressures varied through history, the common thread was exposure to systems capable of limiting autonomy. What we're seeing in Iran (again) is a bunch of niggas tired of that shit. You may be getting hung up on my use of the word nigga, it's all good. Cheers!

In my head, I read that as if Samuel L Jackson were saying it

When i see this word uncensored i have to assume a black person is typing it because i am told only they can say it but how can you prove it on a forum?

It's so stupid and absurd. Either censor it completely or not at all.

I've been posting pictures of myself in the Friday Thread. You ought to visit, we have a good thing going on in there and you're most welcome to join. :messenger_beaming:

This is crazy stuff going on here. Love a good revolution where people just say fuck it, we've had enough of this BS. Hope the Islamic regime falls and the good country of Iran reverts back to pre -79.

If all Iranian people end up joining this revolution then it will only be a matter of when, not if, that the regime will fall. They haven't made a single intellectual decision since Major General Qassem Soleimani got his comeuppance half a decade ago.

then all those hardliners will just take a boat to jolly old England and get free housing and a pensi....errr, support payments for life :P

Funnily enough, about 9 years ago I went to college with a gentleman about late 40s in age from Iran. I presumed fleeing the regime as he was a very smart sciency type and fantastic at maths. Let's just say he wasn't pleased with what he was seeing over here being churned out from the mosques. Probably more despondent about it than we were, like a national/world view of his was shattered.

It's probably why I've never been so gung ho about flattening the country like a lot of people. I know it's filled with all sorts like him who are just trying to get along in life. It's one of the great civilisational hubs of history, they're no retards. Good luck to them ridding themselves of the mullahs.

Makes my blood boil, that people have to live under such circumstances in their lives. Everyone should know what it is to be free to express yourself, to dream of a better future, dare to dream bigger than you ever have.

Hurts me deeply.

I have a carpenter who does some home reno from Iran, came over in the 90's. Good guy.

Good. So sick of that mf recruiting and training terrorists around the world. One of the most evil mf out there.

You can't just massively increase the money supply and not expect inflation. It's happened in the past, it happened during Covid, and it'll happen the next time some genius group of politicians thinks its the solution to whatever current problem we have.
That actually is the definition of inflation(increasing money supply), not rising prices.

Yes, we need Saudi Arabia to have more power in the region. Spreading Wahhabism will end up super well for us Westerners.
Sure MBS has put the kerb in all that shit, the religious police in the country are no longer like what they used to be, hes moving a tanker slowly towards port Normal

God damn it that's insane.
A reminder of what Iran was.

I had a friend growing up who's family GTFO'd from Iran in the 80's. He told me stories about living there and my young mind couldn't comprehend how life could be so different. Felt like the dude was telling me about some weird sci-fi world. Women had to hide their hair and other such oppressive shit. And this was back when I didn't know what a fucking hijab or muslim was.

More than anything those photos showed me how much of these countries success depends on who's in charge. It's unbelievable, almost, to me in the sense because the architecture and sophistication on display could plop right into many modern western countries and once switch some symbols around and you'd never know.

Iran should go back too Zoroastrianism and leave Islam behind.
They used to be one of the leading civilizations in the world, but ever since they adopted Islam, they have been going backwards.
