Well i kinda assumed picking in capcom was ideal. Though i guess they had the gears of wars guys in lost planet 2 :/Cosmo Clock 21 said:I chose Pokemon, and you should have too.
Although in hindsight Toriko would have made a great crossover too. In one series you wear the monsters you hunt as a hat, in the other you bake them into delicious dishes.
All I can say is, the future for Monster Hunter fans in the west will be bright, but just as there was a sizeable gap between Freedom Unite and [Portable] 2nd, I think theres going to be a little bit of a gap [following Monster Hunter Tri]. And exactly what form it takes, I cant speak to I have to unfortunately stay mum. But fear not, you guys have more goodness coming in the future.

Oichi said:So... anyone still playing? I'm past the 200 hour mark (!) but I'm really only paying the DLC quests every week. I've only used the bow and long sword but I may move over to the hunting horn for something different.
john tv said:I'm getting ready to get back into this. I stopped around 75 hours/HR4, but the announcement of MHP3HD has me amped and eager to get hunting again.
Error said:fuck amazing game, this. Shame Capcom USA are retards and didn't bring it over. It looks incredible in the PSP.
Ken said:Hanging onto the slim chance that Capcom USA will bring this over prevents me from just grabbing an import copy. ]:
http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Hunter_WikiJust ordered a copy of the game. Are there any good website pages for translations of crafting materials needed for armor as well as armor abilities?
Error said:the combat in this game is unlike anything I've ever played, I don't know why it feels so satisfying, I've clocked over 300 hours in MHF2 and now almost 50 hours in MHP3 and I just don't get tired of fighting in the game. Is it the lack of hand holding, as in no lock-on? maybe. Is it the vicious enemy AI that possess the monsters in the game? could be. the relative simple movelist that places less emphasis on memorisation, and more on when to use a move? probably. I don't know what really makes it so good.
Anyone that has used a hammer on Rathian's head and made her dizzy knows what I'm talking about, is there something more satisfying than that in videogames?!?!?!? No, don't even bother because there isn't.

Really? I found them pretty easy to learn.Error said:Qurupeco is the most annoying monster in this series.
Error said:he is easy, just annoying when he calls another monster for help.
there a lot of subtle changes in this game, mostly because of the stamina thing for monsters. they seem more likely to get out of traps quickly if they aren't tired. the range of flashbombs has been greatly reduced, too.
Ken said:I suppose that is annoying, especially with lower HR equipment.
Weren't monsters in Tri also only capturable when they started limping/tired?
Tenbatsu said:What a pushover Deviljho is in this game. Fuck that shit.
Oh, right. I forgot about using traps for that purpose as I only used traps for capturing in my time with Tri lol.Mr_Appleby said:i think he means they stay in traps for shorter amounts of time when less fatigued.. monster are only cappable when limping/low HP in all versions AFAIK, but trappable for bombing or attacks etc. at any stage.
d0c_zaius said:Also if anyone wants to nub it up send me a PSN invite. Or if we get a bunch of people who bought HD, we can coordinate something on ad-hoc party.

Ken said:Is it possible for PSP P3rd players to play with P3rd HD players on the PS3?
Just started getting into my PSP copy of P3rd and wouldn't mind doing some multiplayer hunting.
Slime said:Yes, the versions are cross-compatible. By the way, there's already a Portable 3rd HD Ver. thread.
Ken said:Wasn't sure if I should post in there since I only have the non-HD PSP version. Do I need a PS3 to connect my PSP to to go online?
I play online sometimes, just add me to PSN ( 'Wazzim' without the quotes).Ken said:I asked in the P3rd HD thread, but I was wondering if there is still a good number of gaffers still playing P3rd online? I was thinking of getting a PS3 to go online in P3rd for the High Rank quests, but I'm not sure if people are still playing online.
