This is the movie the 1997 release should have been, what Ed Boone and his team were thinking in giving the green light for the theatrical release of the sequel back then, (surely they would have seen preview footage?) we may never know...otherwise we wouldn't have had to have waited till 2021 for another reboot, akin to what they did in recent years with the recent MK 1 game....

A few random reviews. I think the Angry Joe one is good considering that him and his crew have played all of the most recent games and reviewed them. The movie sounds like it is exactly what the fans wanted with Mortal Kombat 2021. Reviews are generally positive. It will be interesting to see how Street Fighter reviews up against this one.

Wanted to watch the first one Netflix but it was removed in december (in France). These subscriptions services can't stop sucking.

Watched yesterday and it's nice. Better than the first for sure. The focus is on the Kombat, so it has nods from the games here and there

But

There's a lot, and I mean a ton of stupid stuff, like a scene that Jade has a whole shebang with her staff to teleport... She could just teleport and would do the thing
