I always thought Mortal Kombat's artistic direction was like a clumsy mish mash of west meets east.

I do feel however that the reboot game got things largely right.
 
I was rewatching season 1.. Are they pronouncing the names correctly?

I could've swore Sub's name was pronounced BE-Han rather than BY-Han.
 
Women's designs were always atrocious in just about every MK game. literally the only one I can think of that wasn't an affront to the senses was Sonya's MK4 design.
 
Does anyone else hate it when they give the MK ninja masks faces? Always looks goofy to me. Other than that it actually looks pretty good. I like the idea of Liu Kang going dark side.
 
Why do I feel bad this is not full length film ? That was an awesome trailer. I hope this gets the recognition it deserves. I liked the first season but this takes it to a whole new level.
 
Heihachi and Shang Tsung, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa makes a much better Shang Tsung. I'm sad to see him age, love this actor. Aging reminds me of the inevitable melancholy that accompanies the passage of time. Your Soul is mine! What a great line and great actor.

It is said to have 10 episodes of 10 minutes.

So it is more than 1 hour and 30 minutes..... enoght to be considered a full lenght movie
 
Best served as a trailer. The actually episodes will fail to impress if last season is anything to go by. The series needs a real writer and director more than anything.

Nah, most episodes were pretty good, the animated ones aside. Cool takes on Raiden and Johnny Cage and the Cyrax/Sektor one was badass.
 
Fully onboard. Was Raiden in either trailer? I didn't see him. Could they be keeping a secret from us?

Last season had a few eps I enjoyed. That said, I'm really getting bored of the constant Scorpion trashing Subs as a constant way to promote MK. I get they are rivals, and Scorpion is the most popular MK character, but jesus, it's getting a little old.

The guy making this is in charge of the new film as well (with a much higher budget) as -MD- said. I believe they're the ones who accidentally leaked the SHOCKING news that a next-gen Mortal Kombat was being made and would be releasing in the same year as the movie (I think it was 2015, not sure).

I think a series would suit this much better, would allow some deeper character development.
