MORTAL KOMBAT VS SF 2!!!

That has to be the best MK vs SF movie yet.....and I've seen the previous works...

I loved how Scorpion did all of those crazy ass spear in all directions, that was nuts.

I also liked the pit stage with clouds/moon. Awesome art.
 
The background look awesome. Are they from a SF game?

I loved the part where Ryu stuck his head through the portal and Lui Kang and Scrorpion where like "who's that? :lol

That ending was BS though...
 
Scorpion was supposed to lose earlier in the fight. Last I remember being thrown and falling acctually hurt a little. Therefore Scorpion should have lost.

I would have enjoyed watching Shang Tsung vs (street fighter character)
 
OMG!! That battle was incredible!! To sync and time 2 such different games blending so well is down right amazing. They were dodging, parring, crazy ass combos, flipping, the works!!

Two of my favorite characters from their respective fighters too!!
 
Fighting was extremely smooth and well-chereographed. On the other hand, the story was way too overdramatic with the whole Sakura/Ryu romance.
 
yeah..the sakura/akuma were kinda off..but the battle was really nice, even the dialogue just b4 they fight was good
 
Like everyone, hated the story, loved the fight. Wish he spellchecked, dammit. How many times can you mispell weird in one video.

That was so cool, the fight was incredibly fun, I actually went 'holy shit' a few times out loud. The dialogues were hilarious if you imagined them being voiced in the typical animu style for Ryu and the girl and in terrible '70 martial arts movies english dubs for the MK people.

That was the first mk vs sf animation that didnt sucks, I actually ignored this thread when it was first posted, thinking it was going to be lame

i was wondering the same thing. the level with the moon in the background was really nice.

btw, could somebody answer if a 3d version of SF ever came out, i can't remember.

i think SF would look crazy if it took the DOA4 style. especially with a level like the one in the video.

i guess it prolly wasn't too good, since i don't remember it.

i think they should try the 3D thing again though, cuz another 2D isn't gonna do nothing for me. if they do it right, it'll look sick.

At least three have been released to my knowledge, with a fourth one being cancelled recently. You didn't miss anything. They suck.
 
SF EX plus alpha was fun, but that was the only one I played. It had some neat stuff that was new at the time (super cancels, some of the characters had nifty attacks like the baseball bat guy could hit fireballs like a baseball, the 'training puzzle mode'). Never played any of the other SFEX games though.

Maybe they should try to finally do 2D right before they resort to that. Their best sprites to date (SFIII) were made for a 384X224 screen resolution. That's pathetic. Can you imagine how good a 2D Street Fighter would look if they drew everything for 1920X1080, with more frames of character animation than SFIII? How about 8-bit alpha channels on everything, instead of 1-bit, so there are no jaggies on anything? While they're at it, why not upgrade the number of colors per sprite? For the backgrounds, they could do Deep Canvas-quality stuff in real-time.
A 2D game that pushed the limits of 360, (or something better) with its 522MB of RAM and gobs of processing power, would blow your mind.
 
Thanks for the link! that was really nicely animated and you damn right that street fighter had to win mortal kombat will always pale in comparison to street fighter to i (my faveourite fighting game ever is 3rd strike!).

Would have been nice if ryu turned evil ryu in the end, and finally ryu got some pussy just to show you dweebs every dog gets his day :lol well this was an improvement on the original i wonder how long it took to make.
