A friend asked me if Million Dollar Baby was a good motivational flick to take a wrestling team out to watch before a big match.

OMG, no.

But I didn't know what to suggest instead.. Coach Carter? I haven't seen it but if it's your typical high school team sports movie then it must have something in the way of motivational bits/montages.

Any recommendations?

I would put Rocky I, Rocky IV and Miracle all up there.

Million Dollar Baby? ROOFLES. Watch Rocky 1 and 2. Those are inspiring movies.

For the record, I can't believe Sports Illustrated shunned Rocky, and said Million Dollar Baby is the best boxing movie ever. MY.FUCKING.ASS. it is. Rocky will always be the greatest boxing movie ever next to Raging Bull.

Chariots of Fire.

This is a good one. I love the theme song that plays at the end too. Oh, and the butts of the guys in those shorts. :lol

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Rocky.

Also, more an inspirational movie for girls I guess, but I've always liked the movie Flashdance.

EDIT: Oops, n/m. Seems that while I was at class and left my reply on this thing open, somebody already did. :lol

Rudy wasnt really THAT motivational.

Through most of the movie I was trying to figure out if he was retarded or not.

Maybe it's a different type of motivation, but the movie will definitely make you think...

He asked for a motivational movie, not a shitty, pseudophilosophical one!
