Klaus Nomi, oh yes. We're done. Curse you, Fnord, for putting "Total Eclipse" in my head. I must now listen-- it's on my iPod.

Feel the power of Klaus Nomi! Feel it! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ahem. Sorry, sorry, got a little carried away. Ignatz, if you aren't familar with Nina Hagen you'd proably enjoy her style; it's similar to Klaus in a lot of ways. Look for the Nunsexmonkrock/Nina Hagen Band double feature CD.

Mermandala, kudos for reminding me of the brilliance of The Shaggs. I'm going to go crank up Philosophy of the World right now.

I only know a couple of Nina Hagen songs, including that one she did with Lena Lovich (who I always confuse with Ms Hagen.)

Meanwhile, I've never heard of Lena Lovich, but am certainly going to look into her.

can't believe nobody mentioned Thom Yorke yet.

I'd like to add BOO! to the list. It's a band from Soufthern-Africa and the singer's voice is just weird as hell. I really like it and I recommend to everybody, but it's not the people's choice.

Here's an example. :)

ha. that was strange as hell when he started singing.. but i kinda like it.. ..

Kurt Wagner from Lambchop has a really interesting voice. And then he goes into that falsetto on songs like "You Masculine You". That's when he sounds really weird.
