God, I just skimmed through chapter 45 and all of the hero names suck and no wonder I didn't remember Izuku's. Lol terrible names all around

Most recent episode was the point the two people I'm watching with sort of stopped passively paying attention and actually started asking questions about the show and how brutal it would be going forward.
Its definitely starting to pick up, but the villains plan seems kinda underwhelming, especially if his All-Might weapon fails quickly in the next ep.
Aside from being weaker than before isn't All Might already past the three hour limit? Not a good situation that's for sure.
Yeah, that's the one. That character design is really cool, and I wanna know more about his quirk.

Well, better him than Eraser Head, especially after these couple of episodes. Also the former is pretty much redundant since Midoriya has his power.
Great episode all around. I liked Kaminari and Kirishima. Todoroki confirmed that he is super boring. Oh and of course Ms. Fanservice gets more naked when she uses her powers.
I'm pretty sure I'll start reading the manga once this is done, probably without joining the GAF community though.

Really wish I could watch this show dubbed, even after watching most of the episodes subbed. I feel like it's based on such a Western concept that I might enjoy it even more with English voices.
I'm just using Hulu Plus though, so no dub for me. :/
The dub makes a reference to the idea of sidekicks earlier in the series. Plus Izuku sounds more like a modern teenager in the dub. One YouTuber compared English Izuku's manner of speech to MCU Spider-Man, which isn't far off.

His dub voice actor also played Teen Gohan for a few lines in TeamFourStar's Abridged version of the Android 13 movie. He's in the flash-forward scene after Goku gets punched in the dick.
EDIT: And of course, he plays Cloud on FF7 Abridged, totally forgot that. It's pretty crazy seeing how "legit" TeamFourStar has become.

I believe so, yeah. But I'm glad that TeamFourStar is getting a ton of actual work via FUNimation & beyond (hell, Marc Swint even got cast as Necalli in Street Fighter V). Are there any other TFS guys on My Hero Academia?
I'll say this though, Justin Briner made Barret proud. He didn't fuck up.

I have to say this was a pretty good episode, one the better ones it almost made me forget this arc is super Lame then almight showed up to remind me that..
I wish the author would create an arc that wasn't meh/soso or felt like weaker imitation of naruto part 1.
The next arc is much better then this, unfortunatly where not seeing that any time soon.

These rookie kids with barely any experience one shot a bunch of no-named villians and the arc climax is
allmight faces off with a mindless clone monster.....yeah this isn't rating very highly with me.
I've seen a ton of shounen arcs in my time, this one is definitely not an interesting one and it's not good enough to be a season finale.

Man, I thought the frog girl was going to be one of those annoying "quirky cute" characters, but I'm loving how level-headed and quick thinking she is.
She was inches away from being murdered and standing at the mercy of her attacker but a few seconds later her first instinct is to try to save Izuku.
She's pretty great. Good "hero" material.

Plus Ultra! Yoooo, that was fire. Why does it have to end just as it got so damn good? I really like how they gave the students the chance to shine as well, especially Bakugou who carries on being the best. For such an asshole, he's surprisingly switched on when it comes the fights lol, reminds me of Vegeta.

They did. The Kurogiri & Noumu stranglehold on All Might lasted a bit longer, and everything between All Might and Noumu starting to trade blows and PLUS ULTRA were added.
Loved every second of it.

Didn't really think about it in the manga but Tsuyu holds Deku up with her tongue for a long-ass time. Her tongue is pretty strong.
Decent episode. Fight was hype even though it got sloppy and budget a lot. Art for Shigaraki's face still doesn't translate well to the low budget. I dunno. This adaptation isn't working for me which I really hate to say. =/

i too watch many shonen comic/manga from ruronin kenshin, dragon ball, HXH, berserk, fairy tail, one piece to naruto pain arc, and can confirm this episode is top tier. the music, the tension was perfectly executed.
For now we know that it's going to be 13 episodes, as in next episode will be the last.
However it's definitely getting more seasons after this one, the only question is when.
