Jesus they really crushed both senseis this ep.

I laughed a lot at Yao. I didn't really notice her upper-class accent last time she spoke, but it was really apparent this episode. Jirou censoring her was hilarious.

Fuck, why is this season only 13 episodes again? They could cover so much more with the source material. I already miss the anime, hope that season 2 won't take long to air.

Apparently the Anime was green-lit just after the release of the first volume. Which means it would have been when the manga was at around where we are right now.

There wasn't any additional source material that could have included in the planning of the first season.

Jump acted way too quickly. In normal cases the Anime of jump Animes gets announced somewhere between chapter 60-80 (depending on several things), and the first episode mostly doesn't air until the manga hits the triple digits.

In case of Hero Academia, the Anime got announced, started airing, and will end all before the source material celebrates its second birthday.

I've never seen this go by so damn fast.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
At least if a second season happens, there's a lot more material to cover.
I imagine it will be Sports Festival and Stain

I liked seeing everyone else in action and using their quirks for once. They all had a common goal, but next week will probably be a tough battle with the villains stacking the deck against All Might and his powers as seen by Deku's ineffectiveness agains that monster.

I thought the episode was great. What happens to
Aizawa was brutal
. My jaw was dropped for a good portion of the episode, and am excited to see
Midoriya control his powers

I'm not sure he does have control of it. Obviously the manga guys can't answer because spoilers, but I thought it was a case of the big dude negating the quirk (similar to Aizawa's ability)? And that's why the villains are confident that they have a chance against All Might.

Only Eraser Head can cancel out quirks. It looks like Izuku finally kept the egg from exploding (so to speak), but the lessened power output barely dented a villain who was made to kill All Might.

KAMINARI was incredible!

Also that Kirishima Bakugou friendship moment.

Pretty intense episode, I never read these chapters so seeing all this go down even got my hyped. I cant wait for the dub of it.

Also brutal Aizawa :(

Props to the adaptation for this. The
Aizawa bits and Tsuyu's possible fate
were all added from the manga and did a great job ratcheting up the tension.

HOLY SHIT THIS WAS AMAZING IM SO HYPED RIGHT NOW

Lots of the characters got screentime with their Quirks and even their personalities are interesting!
Villain guy is also really creepy.
And All Might is so pissed right now.

Most importantly, all the girls are seriously waifu material, Headphones Girl and Vice-Class Rep were top tier.
No seriously all the female characters until now are very solid in both personality, Quirks and looks and aren't boring like most shonen manga's girl archetypes

Fucking good ass episode. And I'm glad people are starting to see why this series is so good. And this story gets even better, I fucking guarantee that.

oh man the ending to that episode. I gotta say that normally I am not a fan of the overly strong main character type but I freaking love all might. Seeing him pissed off is really awesome too. My only concern is the fact that he has already overexerted himself. I am gonna wait on reading the manga till the show has finished its run which should be in like 2 weeks?

I loved this episode all the way around

New bad guys are interesting. I wonder what the guy with the hands' deal is. Seems he can wither flesh away and is pretty fast. Giant guy with exposed brain is strange, wouldn't that be a major weakness? And once again mass teleporters prove that even if they fuck up their skill is too valuable to give up, lol.

Remember the school's giant door? The one that disintegrated? He did that.

I never considered that he weakened the punch - probs to avoid collateral damage - so yeah that could be it. Can't wait for the next episode!

I didn't really think much of Aizawa beforehand, and always thought the students had better Quirks, but damn he jumped right in even though his Quirk isn't suited for fighting for that long, against those numbers, fully knowing eventually he'd get his ass whooped/killed and still did it anyway. What a boss.

Deku thinks "Did I finally manage to control the power modulation?" when his arm doesn't shatter, but I can see how you could've thought it might've been some other factors. Lotta things going on.

In theory, only Deku could give the villains a run for their money, but he still has a ways to go before he's as skilled with One for All as All Might.

Which reminds me, once Izuku masters One for All & graduates from UA, would he take up the All Might name or just stick with Deku?

Youll have to wait until season 2 (or read the manga) to find out Izukus hero name. Im not gonna put it in spoilers cause i think its a really nice surprise and sweet as well.

A number of the students have tremendously powerful quirks; Izuku, Todoroki, Bakugo, Kirishima, Kaminari, Tokoyami and Iida probably have quirks that would put a lot of pro heroes to shame. I can't wait until they use their quirks more exotically and take them beyond their most obvious uses. Hopefully Horikoshi does something with that...

I think to commemorate All Might, Deku should call himself "All Mighty", I know the allusions to God might be a little much but I think it'd be the ultimate way to carry on All Might's legacy.

Lastly, I personally believe since Deku essentially encountered a force an object as powerful as All Might it essentially cancelled out any damage that would've been done to him or maybe Aizawa nullified his quirk. I liken it to throwing a ball high into the air and you cradle it as it comes down and when you've matched its velocity you catch it and there's no pain or stinging as opposed to if you simply let the ball land in your hands.

I read the manga and am current with it but I don't recall a name for any of the students yet. Maybe I've just forgotten.

You know I read through the manga and had no idea what that hand villian does the entire time. So he causes stuff to crumble or disintegrate or something. Got it!

I just checked and its chapter 45.
there hasnt been a situation for the class to boast their hero names so its understandable to have forgotten. Well apart from Izukus.

??? That's Jumps new anime model.

See Assassination Classroom, Haikyuu, Shokugeki no Soma

Yes all of these series had about 100 chapters when the anime released, but they were also all 2-cour. Hero Academia will surely be back with a 24 episode season next year (guessing January).

Great episode. Man I wish you guys didn't gush too much at Tsuyu early on because not knowing she would survive that scene would've been more intense.

Yes, it's their new model, but my point was Jump rushed in way too fast with MHA. AssClass,HQ!! and Soma had enough material for two cours when their Animes were green lit, MHA didn't.

That's what I'm criticising. Jump should have waited a little more.

But what happened happened, and as much as I complain, it's not going to change. And as you said, the next season is surely going to be a two-cour season, so that's good.
