...I don't get "Twilight Princess". What's significant about the reversed word order?
Zelda joke.
The only title I can come up with is "Everything's Going To Be Just Fine (We Hope)", or whatever the exact words Twilight says at the end of S3 were.
How about "Twilight Princess"?
Reminds me of the tagline for Transformers The Movie, but is less awesome. My Little Pony Season 4 |OT| Beyond Syndication
I support this one. We need a name that's witty at first, but seems less funny each time you hear it.
Bake him away, toys!*puts a hand in* Twilight Princess!
...heh, well it was worth a shot! Haha...ha...
Ah, you're all under arrest.
Bake him away, toys!
And to bring a recent Simpsons quote into this...
Lisa <talking in her sleep>: "Rainbow... oh, Rainbow!"
Bart: "Ooooh... not the pony dream again!"
I'll also vote for Twilight Princess.
I just want to be able to talk and share without somebody flipping out half the time.
So that's my proposal. Full spoilers and speculation allowed in the dedicated season thread in OT. Spoiler tags until Pony Day in Community.
Any opinions are welcome.
Hate to interrupt all the discussion about new threads, but I was wondering what everyone's favorite pony fan comic is. It can be everything from funny to touching to just plain weird. I thought since there seem to be new folk here it might be nice to share some of the best the community has to offer! I will start with mine:
Owl's commanding me on irc to make the season 4 thread, unless anyone else want to do it?

Ego comics are great.

I FUCKING HATE RARITY.
Well, um, that's certainly something.
I cannot tell if you are being sarcastic.
Yes and it is why I said I hate Rarity. I like her when she doesn't have an episode dedicated to herself. Every single Rarity episode, aside from Sisterhooves Social (which I Loooveeee), is a race in repitition as it wallows in Rarity's hubris, desire to be a popular burgeouseis.
You should read Rarity's micro series comic.
Everyone should read Rarity's micro series comic.
The problem is that beyond the initial episode where it is revealed, I have not ever found Rarity to be generous as befits her title. Also, another problem is that there's nothing wrong with wanting to be popular. Rainbow Dash sure as fuck wouldn't disagree such that. But whereby Rarity makes me seethe, Rainbow comes off as endearing because the writers manage to craft several ways that depict Rainbows cries for being accepted and loved.
Rarity on the other hand is only ever abour her and being popular with a specific elite. It is repetitive. We have seen this type of story several times with Rarity. It feels redundant. Let me guess the plot line of the next Rarity plotline: Rarity wants to impress rich and famous people! MAYBE with her fashion line - which isn't required.
This. So much this. I can understand why people wouldn't like Rarity, heck I didn't like her at first either. But after watching Dog and Pony show, my opinion her really changed. On a superficial level, she is all those things: conceited, elitist, self-fish. But once you you get past the surface she really the element of generosity. Even in Sweet and Elite when she is about to sell out her friends, she steps up for them and proudly admits they her friends, even though that would possibly mean giving up her dream. I agree 100% with what PaulloDEC said: she should be be judged by what she does, despite those actions going against what she really wants. That is what makes her so generous.
That said, Sweet and Elite is one of my favorite episodes. Dog and Pony show is dumb. Are people serious about being upset by the mule racism stuff?

Other characters I identify with in some small way. But I can never identify with Rarity. She virtually throws her friends aside to impress other people who are complete assholes. I just can't stand her and the person who said there were no more Rarity focused eps after season 1 LIED.
I have no idea how anyone thinks she's awesome. It makes no sense to me and her episode is the only bad episode of season 2 so far. The only part I liked was when they all went to have fun with the snobs and BEST PONY (Twilight Sparkle) did her Elaine dance.

Let's be real. MOST of her stories DO have a conceit/popularity streak even in episdoes that aren't entirely focused on her like Sonic Rainboom. Also, while Rarity has charitable actions, they are eclipsed by the amount of selfish actions she displays. If we were to count the difference she displays each it'd be overwhelmingly on the conceited side.
My only contribution to the Rarity debate (and I'm biased because she's my favorite) is that Tabitha St. Germain's delivery is a big part of what makes her such a delight.
She's just brilliantly over-the-top and hilarious. Kazumi Evans handling Rarity's songs with her professional opera background doesn't hurt, either.

Whenever I think of Tabitha's comedic timing in this role, I always turn to this clip to use as Exhibit A.Absolutely agree with this. Any time I'm reflecting on episodes concerning Rarity her voice actresses are the first thing that come to mind. Tabitha in particular has amazing comic timing.
