Searched for the last couples pages, as well as the thread search tool; any fellow comic fans pick up the MLP Comic Equestria Girls Prequel Annual? I thought it wasn't too shabby. Babs came out of nowhere though...

I refused to buy that one (only volume I skipped so far) because it was done by the same person who made micro #2 apparently.

Agreed, micro #2 is by far the weakest of all the official comics released so far.

However, while the Equestria Girls annual is drawn by the same guy who drew micro #2 (and micro #4 Fluttershy, which wasn't bad), the writer is completely different. The annual is actually written by the same guy who wrote micro issues 5 (Pinkie Pie) and 7 (CMC), which were both great. I haven't read the annual myself, but I've heard it's actually pretty good, supposedly miles better than the movie.

Micro #2 was horrible...just awful - and I'm a huge Rainbow Dash fan. But that has to do with the writing, not the art.

Equestria Girls annual is decent - art is a little weird in some places, but the story itself is far, far better than the writing in micro #2. I would recommend it if you want to know a little about what happened before the movie kicks off. Plus the first 8 pages are by Price with the Sunset Shimmer storyline as a pony.

Tony Fleecs is a mediocre artist, but he does seem to be more at ease with drawing humans, so it did not come out too bad. I would love to see what Andy Price would do with the Equestria Girls designs, we only had a small glimpse of that.

Anyone know if they're gonna do a single paperback of "Zen and the Art of Gazebo Repair"? It was just too damned good; kind of wish they would make it into an episode or two.

I'm guessing that it will go along with Cadance/Shining Armor's backstory, since that makes for a total of four issues, same as the previous main series collections.

Called my local comic shop. Bought a MLP Theme Deck and 3 boosters. Bought orange sleeves and an orange box (Applejack duh), and put my deck together. Once I have enough Pink cards, I'm making a deck around Orange/Pink and calling it Apple Pie.
