- Person posts and asks why the heck it keeps being here.
- Person gets linked to one of the episodes. Person grudgingly accepts that it's an okay show.
- A couple of hours later we see a post from the same person asking "Why did I just spend several hours watching My Little Pony?!"
- Someone posts the "Welcome to the Herd" picture or the "Pull up a chair" picture. We then discuss ponies with the new bronie for half a page or two.
Then the circle repeats.
It is a genuinely good show, mind you. Good animation, good voice acting, good writing. It just happens to be about ponies.
Related, I'm probably overdue for a pony avatar myself, but I haven't found one I like. Still flying the Felicia flag for now.

Watched episode 3. This is a good, all-round show. Ponies don't bother me at all. It's even refreshing to have a well-written show with the 'fluffy pink sugar bunny' aesthetic.
Really, I'm thinking that the next generation of adults will have many cartoons to wax nostalgic about, despite people talking about 'the death of cartoons' or whatever. There's this, Ben 10, Sym Bionic Titan, Adventure Time, Avatar, etc.

I keep coming back to this thread for the relatively high concentration of pony avatars, which pretty much instantaneously diffuse any tension / frustration from my shitty work day.
Now if someone was to catch me looking at this thread at work there would probably be a whole new class of tension / frustration but I think I'ma cross that bridge when I get to it.

I just finished watching the first two episodes and I liked it. I absolutely love Pinkie Pie. XD Unfortunately, the script made it rather hard for me to not cringe at some points. I wasn't expecting another Avatar: The Last Airbender, but I was still hoping for a bit more depth. I like the artstyle in general but it's a bit too basic, particularly the backgrounds. I don't think I can quite say I am a fan yet; I'll have to give it a few more episodes.

I convinced a friend of mine to watch the pilot two-parter with me yesterday. We watched it on a bus filled with thirty-some-odd other guys, so there were a few "what are you watching?" "is that a unicorn?" "I worry about you sometimes..." remarks, but my friend seemed to enjoy the show. Now if I can just get him to watch Sonic Rainboom he'll be a brony for sure... Samurai Leo! Whats not to like about him? Badass armor, badass weapons, and kick-ass helmet. Man, Samurai Leo owned so many asses during his many adventures of my childhood. He defeated entire Gi Joe squads, several Transformers and Decepticons, Skelettor, Cobra Commander, he was just unstoppable.
