They will still exchange it to my knowledge (at least in Canada they do), the changes to their rules are for major appliances only (TVs, etc).Truespeed said:I was just wondering....If I buy a 360 from Costco could I just exchange it should it ever Red Ring or has Costco changed their policy?

I've never seen stand-alone 360s here though, they usually come bundled with a P&C kit, extra controller and some shitty (YMMV) game. last I saw was Lost Oddessy. Don't recall the price but it wasn't possible just to buy the 360, it was cheaper than buying everything separate but extra cost if you just wanted the console and shopped around for accessories/games you actually wanted.Truespeed said:Thanks. Costco, here I come Sept 7th.
marwan said:oh sh!t....are you saying that all my save game data, online transactions purchases are wiped?...please tell me that i could re-downloaded them when i logging using my screen name! i don't mind re-downloading....what my save game data progress.....NOOOOO!!!!!
EDIt: i just tried it and removed the 360 HDD, same problem, the consoles turns on without a screen on the TV and i get 3 constant blinking lights! so is this an HDD problem like you stated?(which i doubt) or did my 360 officially RRODed?![]()
marwan said:i'll post new pictures, i have pictures withe 3 lights and a 10 second video(if that actually help) showing the blinking and that the HDD is uninstalled.
btw, if i get the new 360 with 60GB HDD, does it included the transfer cables like the separate 120GB HDD? i'm guessing not, but just thought I'd ask anyways!
btw, is the transfer cable sold separately?

Still, their return policy is impossible to beat.

if your 360 is dead and there is no way to get it back to work in simple small fix. then you shouldnt buy a 360 anymore.
i remember how u and i used to brag about falcon and how we bought our system new from amazon.com
i swear. dont buy another one. just focus on ur ps3 and wii

well, i guess it's too late!( this goes to llTll )
Since my second falcon xbox 360 decided to RROD on me, i went out and bought a 3rd one, this time it's the Arcade package sine i have all the extra content that comes in the Pro version, plus i didn't need the 20GB HDD since i bought a 120GB HDD separately(i needed the extra space since the fall update would allot entire game installation)
womp said:But the Arcade SKU is $199 next week? Why didn't you wait?
This pic hurts so much.marwan said:
marwan said:i swear this is my last 360, i ain't taking this shit from MS anymore....another reason i bought it is because i have a buncha games that i still haven't finished!
Fair Witness said:The label is for you to print out and affix to your own box with your 360 inside. The weight is their guess on how much it should weigh with only the 360 inside. The address it's going to is probably the closest repair center from your location. Just find a small box, put some padding around your 360 and send it off (I think you also write your repair number on a sheet of paper and tape it to your xbox so they know who it came from - the UPS label probably also lists this number).
marwan said:cuz im not in the U.S.A and prices don't really apply here in the UAE since all my systems are American and are imported.
I have been importing since the SNES days, waiting for PAL versions simply suck.
heck i had Mario Galaxy U.S version a day before it was released in the U.S and we're in the other side of the planet![]()

What's the date on that new Arcade?
Do shorter cycles. Get more done in less time. Three minutes on, three minutes off. And don't put it in the freezer, that's just crazy (moisture buildup in the machine really isn't what you want). Just take the towel off.Treo360 said:Ain't this a bitch? I had my Elite for exactly 13 months and now it's dead, but lo and behold it hasn't RROD'd, no that would be a good thing for me. The damn thing will not boot up any game past the starting intro's. yup it will just hang with no activity on a black screen. Towel it you say????
HA!
Fucker won't RROD. AT.ALL. I toweled it for an hour, then froze it in the freezer, rinse (no I didn't rinse it!yet) and repeat. Turns on like a champ, goes to the dash no problem, but as soon as that video card is remotely taxed, well, yeah.
Funny as this used to be a precursor to a RROD, except mine won't do it.
Fuck

Well you definitely want one 2008. All 2008s should be Falcons. They are a lot more reliable.marwan said:no sure, haven't checked yet. But aren't Arcade packs newer than the Pro packs? also what date should i look for? i'm assuming that would out me the safe side......temporarily!![]()
btrboyev said:What happened to sending a box? I'm really getting annoyed as I tell them this is my this my 8th attempt at this...they will just say they apologize and make a new service request only for me not to get the stupid email with the shipping label.

What to Game While Gaming
(Mr.Potato Head 3:16-4:4)
And after being baptized, Potato Head went up immediately from the UPS Hub; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of 360 descending as a dove, and coming upon Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My beloved $199.00 Xbox 360, in whom I am well-pleased." Then The Gamer was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil with a PS3 160GB. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights without a single night of 360 gaming, He then became hungry to Game. And the tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of the Gaming God, command that these wii games become hardcore games" But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Hardcore Gamers shall not live on wii alone, but on every awesome xbox 360 game that proceeds in & out of the xbox 360's dvd tray.'"
btrboyev said:microsoft is fucking me...its been over two weeks and they simply cannot get this stupid shipping label to me over email. I've called 7 times and have tried using 3 email addresses.

Captain N said:so I for RROD a few months back. Now they sent me another XBOX and now the discdrive won't read any of my games. Am I going to need to pay to get it fixed?
actually that does look pretty nice, I find the chrome trim on mine makes it look cheap, the white bezel makes it look monochromatic which is good to me.marwan said:Plus hey, the white tray cover on the Arcade gives the 360 a very smooth clean look as opposed to the chrome chrome, don't you guys thinks?![]()
