I have a launch system. It RROD'd on me, and I got it fixed (out of warranty by a few months, oh well). No problems there. It works fine. Makes a butt-load of noise, but it's functional. This is more a matter of preference.
I want to run my 360 over HDMI (I currently do 1080p over the VGA input. I know, I know...), but, alas, there's not HDMI happening on my launch system. I'm thinking about picking up an arcade unit and just slapping the HDD from my old system on it. My question: will that work? (I don't care about upping the size of the HDD - 20gb is good for me.)
Is there any info saved on the system itself, or is everything stored on the HDD? Again, it's just my preference. (I just want fewer cables and everything running over HDMI.)
Yes everything will work just fine. Everything is stored on the HDD unless you had any saves on say a memory unit of any kind.
